New Moon in Pisces March 17, 2018: Rear Window

Our final New Moon before the Cosmic New Year is starting off with a bang! There is a build up of tension right now as you are itching for something new and yet it’s taking its sweet Pisces time. This is a unique NM because it has happening just a couple of days before the Spring Equinox. We have an ending and beginning together- it feels like you are looking through your rear window into your front window. New things are coming, but you can’t seem to grasp it yet.

What is New Was Once Old

The New Moon is taking place in the Nakshatra of Purva Bhadrapada- the feet of the funeral cot.
The energy here is asking you to leave behind the old in favour of the new. We need to be looking at the glass as half full and not empty.
A New Moon in Pisces is always tricky because we have foot in the past and one foot in the future. I have noticed people who have this natal placement struggle with change as they are too attached to the past and usually experience things in their life that forces them to detach from their known identity. I happened to be born on a New Moon in Pisces so I definitely know how it feels to be looking both ways at once.
Grace Kelly was born on a New Moon in Pisces in the Nakshatra of Purva Bhadrapada and her life story is a classic example of how these energies can play out. She was a successful Hollywood actress who was forced to give up her career for her new royal title of Princess of Monaco. Her acting career haunted her throughout her royal life as it was believed she never quite got over her retirement. She made the best of her royal career by playing her most important role yet- the role of Princess of Monaco.
Case in point- if you feel a sense of anxiousness about letting go of the past and what awaits you after the Spring Equinox, know that you have created a firm emotional foundation this year with all of the Pisces energy we experienced thus far which will carry you into your next phase.

Rear Window
Rear Window, the Hitchcock suspense film that was career defining for Grace Kelly is the perfect New Moon in Pisces metaphor. It’s helpful to look out your rear window every now because you never know what you might see. Our past informs our present which dictates our future. At the end of the film, James Stewart was able to catch the murderer because he looked out his rear window into the lives of his neighbours. Look back on your past at this New Moon, because it will tell you a lot about what’s to come and will minimize feelings of frustration.

The Aspects:
We have some intense action with Mars which shows an inner frustration with how little is manifesting for you right now.

A semi sextile to Uranus suggests looking at things from a different perspective by paying extra close attention to omens at this lunation.

Mars trine Uranus will help to combat some of the frustrations you have by helping you to think differently about your situation.

Full Moon in Virgo March 1st 2018: Separating the Wheat from the Chaff

Moonbeams: Discernment, Materialization, Healing

Major Lesson to be Learned: Being of service to your higher self by grounding its energies into practical reality

Challenge to Overcome: Not wanting to take a hard look at yourself without your rose coloured glasses on.

The Moon will be putting on her spectacles and rolling up her sleeves during this lunation. There are 4 planets in Pisces- Sun, Neptune, Mercury, & Venus which is imbalancing the Virgo Pisces axis to an extreme. Having such a strong conglomerate of Piscean energy will require la luna to put forth some extra efforts and put on her high beams in order to see through the ethereal mist.

Like a Virgo

Virgo is an earthy sign that is methodocial, organized, self sacrificing, and analytical. It’s staring at all this mystical energy plotting how to fix it. On the other hand, Pisces is a sign of mysticism, surrender, dreams, and emotions. It’s staring at Virgo charming and luring it away from a place of rigidity to a place of flow.

Virgo Full Moons are our opportunities to clean up the Virgo ruled area of our lives. We have 1 full moon in this sign every year and every year I usually see a lot of people decluttering, cleaning, organizing, and revamping their lives. This is Virgo’s ‘sacred work.’ Being of service to yourself and humanity through letting go of material fixations and focusing on how you can help others from a place of true sincerity and humility. When a Virgo is able to properly harmonize its Piscean energy, we can see some beautiful practical magic unfold.

Sacred Work involves applying the 3 ways of the Virgo Pisces axis. Here are 3 ways to work with the energies of this moon.

1. Intuition Precision
Have you ever wondered how it is that Virgo’s always seem to know how to plot their next move? As someone with a few Virgo’s in my family, I can honestly say that I have rarely seen them take a misstep. It’s like they can envision exactly how something is going to play out. This is because Virgo’s more than any other sign, trust their intuition. They rely on their hunches and gut feelings as a navigational tool. Being an earth sign, they will follow through on their feelings and take action. It is this precision intuition that will be illuminated for us during this full moon. Trust your instincts and use the Virgo ability to ground those instincts into reality.

2. Making the Mystic Realistic
This actually happens to be my motto and the motto for this blog. Ironically, I started this blog during the Virgo Pisces axis of 2015, so it makes perfect sense. The Virgo Moon is analyzing all of the Pisces energy and is deciding what you can realistically manifest, and what needs to go. For example, you might have been dreaming about having this amazing perfect job, and yet you haven’t taken any practical steps to acquire that job. The Virgo Moon will tell you to hold on to that dream, but to start putting out resumes and do some networking. Or perhaps you have been fantasizing about getting married and starting a family. The Virgo Moon might completely discard this fantasy because you are not in the right place for that and should be focusing on other things in your life right now. Essentially, this full moon will be giving you a reality check in the Virgo Pisces axis area of your life. It’s not about discarding all of your dreams, since Virgo knows that dreams are the architecture of your reality, rather, she wants too ensure that you are healthy and not obsessing over things that are not “serving” you.

3. Feeling is Healing
This is probably the toughest job for Virgo and one that will be the most uncomfortable during this full moon. Virgo’s are known to be quite cranky and moody and this is because they like to keep all of their emotions stored up inside. They are very afraid of vulnerability and the Piscean void of being open and receptive. Virgo’s will store their pent up feelings inside and these feelings get stored in the sacral chakra- the bowels, intestines, liver, and sexual organs. We know energetically that if you are constipated, or are too regular, or are feeling more depressed and anxious- the above mentioned areas will not be functioning properly due to a build of up of emotions. Remember, Virgo rules the bowels, so it tends to have issues digesting its feelings. With such a heavy emphasis on Pisces energy at this time, we will be feeling extra emotional. You want to be careful that you are not suppressing your emotions, but are finding ways to release them. Go for a walk, do some exercise or yoga, meditate, walk barefoot through the grass, cry, do anything that will help to ground you. Virgo is the sign of the harvest so we have an interesting energetic portal opening up for us at this time. Full Moons wrap up cycles, usually two week cycles, but I would go further back and say this moon is wrapping up what began during our New Moon in Virgo back on September 19, 2017. What did you experience back then? With a harvest moon occuring right before Spring, there is a need to release and discern what is healthy for us and what is making us sick. We all know Virgo is the sign of health and healing, so use this Full Moon to listen to your body.
There has been a lot of hype about this lunation for the simple fact that we have a stellium in Pisces. We cannot discount Pisces energy as being illusory and useless, we have to honour all of its magical gifts by using its Virgo opposition to materialize it. This is why the Full Moon in Virgo is about ‘separating the wheat from the chaff’ the most sacred work there is.

Full Moon in Pisces September 6, 2017: A Crystal Ball

Date: September 6, 2017

Moonbeams: Cosmic Clarity, Come gaze into my crystal ball……..

That which becomes real looking through a crystalline sphere swirling with cosmic stardust clouds using the Virgo tools of analysis to pick apart your vision which is already perfection.  We are all still reeling from the effects of the August Eclipses which many will feel up to 6 months. Every year we have an important lunation in Pisces in September to soften the rational energies of Virgo. Virgo processes all that we cannot see, and with its polarity being Pisces- that which we cannot see is actually crystal clear at this time.

Crystalline Knowledge of You

The Full Moon in Pisces will be conjunct Neptune adding a dreamy fog to this starry night. Active dreaming will be the easiest way to make it through the thick of the fog. Dreams might be coming true for you, psychic readings will be extremely accurate, intuitive abilities will be on point. What you are seeing at this time is your reality re-imagined through a Piscean crystal lense. The language of the universe are codes and symbols and what better time to decode all of these message than through some heavy Virgo energy this month. We must keep in mind that the ruler of Virgo- Mercury will be stationing direct in Virgo a day or so before the Full Moon and will be conjunct Mars for most of the month. Your processing abilities will be on fire, but in order to keep your mechanic self in check you must remember that the intuitive and fantastical downloads you are receiving at this time are already perfected. There’s no need to pick apart every little detail and try to make sense of what you are seeing and feeling. The energies at this Full Moon are simply fragments of knowledge about yourself that are appearing from a place of purity (Virgo) after the energetic portals we entered during the eclipses.  The Full Moon in Pisces is a crystal ball that contains your iridescent self and future. What will you see?

When Waves Crash Ashore

An Observation

Water signs (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces) are known to be emotional, sensitive, dreamy, and artistic. A lesser known quality of the Water signs would be their strong projection qualities. There’s a mutual exchange that happens when a water sign picks up on the feelings of others but also project their feelings on others. You must be thinking that every person does this, but I’ve noticed that Water signs do this the most to each other.

An insecure Scorpio will do everything in their power to make another water sign insecure. A depressed Cancer will do the same, as will a manipulative Pisces. Water signs are the dowsing rods of the zodiac, they have an incredible talent for seeking out fellow water sources. A Water sign will dry up like a rain droplet in the Sahara if they are surrounded by Earth, Fire, or Air signs. They feel a blockage when dealing with these people as they have an easier time concealing their emotions. For Cancers, Scorpios, and Pisces, what they feel is real. Interacting with Earth signs is like tapping into solid granite, Fire signs are too hot to touch, and Air signs are unreachable.

Every person I’ve known who has a lot of Water energy tends to send a tidal wave of emotions my way since I am also Water dominant. At times it feel likes a tsunami and I am the land. I’ve come to appreciate this as their waves reveal the bottom of their ocean- sometimes it’s a pretty sight, and other times it’s an ugly sight. Merging water with water creates our seas, oceans, rivers, and lakes which are our source of life. Merging with another is what life is all about- without it, none of us would be here.

A Magic Carpet Ride

As someone with a lot of Pisces in my Astrology make-up, I’ve heard all too often that Pisces just want to escape and are living in an illusory day-dreaming state. While I do relate to these tendencies, there is a certain beauty that is also present with escapism.

Rising Above

Being disconnected from reality doesn’t imply being disconnected from life or source. Disconnection can simply mean detaching from the present holographic reality. Detaching is a code word for transcendence. Sure, disconnection can lead to irresponsibility and numbness, but why do we assume that leaving implies swimming downward as opposed to upward…….hence the Pisces glyph? Disconnecting from reality is merely rising above the static here and now to take a gander from a different perspective, high up in the rose quartz coloured diamond sky.. A heightened level of awareness allows you the opportunity to have a broad view of what’s going on down below.

Siren State

Rather than work against your energies and soul imprint, work with and immerse yourself in your dominant element. If that’s Water, then live your life from a place of non-attachment. Accept what is happening to you knowing that you can rise up into the clouds to gain perspective. If Earth is your element, live your life from a place of grit. Don’t be afraid to get down and dirty.  Bury yourself deep into what’s handed to you, knowing that you will always be able to dig yourself out of the soils of toil. If Air is your dominant element than buckle down and study what comes your way, because you have the ability to solve any problem. If Fire is your dominant element know that fire is the energy of rebirth. You will always rise up from the ashes.

When Pisces is your dominant sign and Water is your dominant element, remember that you can always come up for air (perspective) when you find yourself being carried away the current.

A Whole New World

The Sabian Symbol for my 1 Degree Cancer Ascendant is

A PERSON ON A MAGIC CARPET OBSERVES VAST VISTAS BELOW

As the beautiful song from ‘Aladdin’ says- a whole new world awaits those willing to escape it every once in a while. What was once old, becomes new again.

I can show you the world
Shining, shimmering splendid
Tell me, princess, now when did
You last let your heart decide!
I can open your eyes
Take you wonder by wonder
Over sideways and under
On a magic carpet ride
A whole new world
A new fantastic point of view
No one to tell us no
Or where to go
Or say we’re only dreaming
A whole new world
A dazzling place I never knew
But when I’m way up here
It’s crystal clear
That now I’m in a whole new world with you
Now I’m in a whole new world with you
Unbelievable sights
Indescribable feeling
Soaring, tumbling, freewheeling
Through an endless diamond sky
A whole new world
(Don’t you dare close your eyes)
A hundred thousand things to see
(Hold your breath it gets better)
I’m like a shooting star
I’ve come so far
I can’t go back to where I used to be
A whole new world
(Every turn a surprise)
With new horizons to pursue
(Every moment, red-letter)
I’ll chase them anywhere
There’s time to spare
Let me share this whole new world with you
A whole new world
(A whole new world)
That’s where we’ll be
(That’s where we’ll be)
A thrilling chase
A wondrous place
For you and me

New Moon in Pisces Solar Eclipse: Once Upon a Dream

Moonbeams: Releasing, letting go, active dreaming

South Node Solar Eclipse- past, known, familiar, where we get stuck, where we want to let go, where you want to change, release, moving away from

Welcome to our New Moon Solar Eclipse in Pisces! Wow, what a month February has been for us all. By now, you should have a pretty clear quartz crystal image of how you would like your life to look. But the problem with crystal images, is that they can be a little cloudy. To recap, our Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Leo earlier this month was conjunct the NN of the moon, which was all about understanding what it is that you want in your life, your destiny, your fate. Leo energy is all about passion and courage, so that vision you have for your life is one that involves listening to your heart and doing what you love. Maybe you’re an artist and the lunar eclipse finally made you admit that you want to pursue it more? Whatever it is that was illuminated, our current new moon solar eclipse is going to show you what you need to release and let go of in order to achieve what is that you want, because Pisces is the dissolver. It is important that you pull up a transit chart to see where this eclipse will be happening in your natal chart. This will show you what you need to let go of. For example, this eclipse will be happening in my 9th house, so I need to let go of old ways of thinking, expand my horizons, travel, and change my course of direction, go back to school etc..

Since this is a New Moon eclipse, it will be quite the dark period. New Moons are times of introspection and is actually when we are closest to source, closest to the cosmic womb. Working with your shadow side which has been pronounced leading up to this energy, due to everything being unsettled, is directly linked to where this eclipse is happening in your natacl chart. So for me, since this eclipse is happening in my 9th House, my shadow energy of this time is regretting going down a certain path, paying the price for a career decision, the 9th house is also the gateway, so I could also be dealing with being too restrictive in my thinking and not trusting the divine.  New Moons energy is all about symbols and archetypes. Pay attention to everything that is happening around you. Be on the look-out for serendipitous events, notice numbers, watch the birds, journal your dreams (Pisces) pay attention to what you are gravatating towards.

That same day we also have a conjunction between Mars and Uranus both in Aries, so there is going to be burst of energy to take action and emancipate yourself. The chains of the past will be breaking off. Neptune will also be in Pisces at 11 degrees, signalling an enlightened doorway that will present itself to you. The world is your oyster, but it may not be so clear as to what those possibilities are just yet. The only way to know is to dream. Our stellium in Pisces- with the Sun and Moon, Mercury, Neptune, and Chiron all there, dream big and journal, create a vision board, meditate, work on a creative project. What seems like fantasies and dreams is only your soul speaking to you.

With Mars and Uranus setting fire to the water, there is a need for you to just sit back and watch what happens. Eclipses are known to bring dramatic changes up to 6 months, indicating divine timing.

The dream is real.

Pisces the Mystic Mermaid

Welcome to the psychic watery realm of Pisces. This energy is very hard to define, and it almost makes no sense to project on it or label it. Pisces is equivalent to the iridescence of fish scales, reflecting rainbow lights up to cosmos. The altruistic healing qualities of this energy runs the risk of self sacrifice and self sabotage, she becomes the shoreline that the waves of emotions crash onto, rather than being the boat that flows with the ebbs and flows. High tide can be equivalent to higher consciousness, but the low tides are needed for grounding and releasing. In order to awaken to the soul of Pisces, being connected to both earth and the astral plane at the same time is the proper expression of Pisces, and not losing herself into the abyss of emotions, but rather discerning all of the information coming to her, hence the upward and downward fish as seen in its glyph. Pisces is the last sign in the zodiac which contains a culmination of other previous signs, making them closer to source. Her task it to be the channel for spiritual information and not the filter for it. Your job is not to build sand castles on the dry beach only to have the waves come by and knock them down. It’s about co-creating your own castle using the earthy groundedness of reality and the dream like waters of the divine. Pisces souls have incarnated to make their dreams a reality, to live a creative life.

Deception can run rampant with this energy, so listening to your intuition is imperative. With all of these psychic gifts, the trove of Pisces can only hold so many treasures. Sometimes it is necessary to retreat into your cavern where true inspiration lies, and when the time is right, to come out of the cavern with the treasures to share with the world, with the collective consciousness through art. Pisces time can see the most creative projects blossom as if they were divinely inspired. Creativity is the essence of the Pisces soul, as she is the divine child- children being innocence, that wonder and awe of being only a miniscule drop in the ocean. Know that when the siren song calls, the divine is calling, and one must heed the call of the divine, or else drown into the watery subconscious dream world.

Mars in Pisces: December 19, 2016- January 28, 2017

Mars has moved into the sign of Pisces until January 28, 2017. Now is the time to use your creativity for inspired action. If you have been meaning to write that book, do it! If you want to start a blog, do it! If you want to volunteer your time for a charitable cause, do it!
It’s also important to think outside of the box when you are faced with a challenge. Creativity is often times our saviour in times of crisis.

Mars in Pisces reminds me of Dory from Finding Nemo. She was on a mission to help Marlon find his son Nemo, even though she got confused along the way. Don’t let the dreamy nature of Pisces blur your vision. If you find yourself getting foggy, find a creative outlet. You might create some of your best work yet!

Use your imagination to help navigate yourself during this next month and a bit. If you feel inspired to do something, don’t hesitate, act!
