Full Moon in Capricorn June 28, 2018: A Golden Compass

Moonbeams: Heaviness & Anxiousness

Lesson to Learn: Stagnation is Preparation

The Aspects

The Moon forms a T-Square with the Sun, Moon, Saturn, & Chiron. We are feeling insecure and afraid. The Moon will be conjunct Saturn making it feel as though we are being weighed down by weights. A trine from Uranus is pushing us to look at our situation from a fresh perspective. New ways of doing things are very likely at this time. Mars has also just gone retrograde in Aquarius which is all about forging ahead with integrity. Being true to yourself without losing your objective.

“Live Your Life by a Compass and Not a Clock”- Stephen Covey

Did you know a compass will always tell you the truth? If you know what direction you need to go in, it will always give you the correct answer. Saturn is the lord of time and his conjunction with the Full Moon can make it feel as though time has stopped moving. We are being given an incredible two weeks from the cosmos to get our bearings before the craziness of July’s two eclipses begin. Great change is always preceded by a period of stagnation. The great thing about this lunation is that we have the supportive influence of Uranus which will help us decide what direction we need to go in. This direction might entail removing some people from your life, or it might entail speaking up for yourself. Whatever it might be, now is the perfect time to take a moment and check in with yourself. The square to Chiron can make us feel depressed, but depression is a deep hurt from something in the past. The trine to Uranus can make us feel anxious, which is a deep longing for something you don’t have. Treat your insecurities and fears as a golden compass that is pointing you towards areas where you need to grow.

“What lies before us and what lies behind us, are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.”- Ralph Waldo Emerson

Full Moon in Scorpio April 30, 2018: Under the Cherry Moon

The Scorpio Full Moon will feel like a do or die moment. Scorpio does rule death, so the question to ask yourself during this lunation is “are you killing yourself slowly and softly by not living your life?”

The Moon will be squaring the North Node in Leo which feels as though you are trying to run away from your life. The Lion only camouflages when it’s stealthily watching its prey, but are you hiding out because you are plotting your next move, or are you hiding away because you don’t want to deal with the reality of your current situation? Your situation is the Scorpio ruled area of your chart.

Saturn is sextiling the Moon and trining the Sun suggesting that we need to expose ourselves. Talk to someone about your fears and deepest wants. Saturn is creating a glaze of emotional maturity over this Moon, so getting real with yourself first and then communicating this with someone you trust, will help you to heal.

It seems that every Full Moon this year has been super intense because with our North Node in Leo, 11 universal year, Saturn in Capricorn- along with Pluto & Mars, Chiron transitioning into Aries, & Uranus moving into Taurus- we have been dealing with a lot of bruises to our egos and a strong desire to live an authentic life. There’s a lot of restructuring going on “up there” so it demands more honesty and peserverance on our part.

The Moon’s trine to Neptune will sharpen our intuition and dreams, but she is also sending some clean water to our murky Scorpionic depths. “Trust the process”will never be more heightened than at this Full Moon.

Mars & Pluto are still conjunct so we will feel this strong urge to make some changes, but we’re stuck waiting in the water because what we are sensing is out of reach….for now.

The Full Moon in Scorpio is also called ‘The Pink Moon’ because the flower Phlox is said to bloom around this time of year. Phlox means souls becoming united in flower lore, so use this Full Moon to bring together your voice (Taurus- opposite of Scorpio) with your heart. (Phlox is the flower in the above pic.) The colour pink connects to our heart, so it’s important to open up your heart this week-end and just speak its truth.

There’s a song by Prince called ‘Under the Cherry Moon’ whose lyrics I feel describes the frustration of wanting to move forward but feeling stuck because destiny is not allowing it. The Full Moon will have a cherry hue to it, so I’m convinced Prince knew something……. (btw, Prince died during a pink moon in April 2016, oh and he was a Scorpio rising).

‘Under the Cherry Moon’

Prince & the Revolution

How can I stand to stay where I am?
Poor butterfly who don’t understand
Why can’t I fly away in a special sky?
If I don’t find my destiny soon,
I’ll die in your arms under the cherry moon
I want to live life to the ultimate high
Maybe I’ll die young like heroes die
Maybe I’ll kiss you some wild special way
If nobody kills me or thrills me soon,
I’ll die in your arms under the cherry moon
If that’s alrightLovers like us dear are born to die
If they don’t find us what will we do?
I guess we’ll make love under the cherry moon
I’ll die in your arms under the cherry moon

Full Moon in Libra March 31, 2018: The Weighing of the Heart

This lunation is about bringing together our heart and mind in order to create a perfect equilibrium, worthy of Maat. Maat is an Ancient Egyptian concept of justice. It was believed that social and personal disharmony disrupts the heavens which causes hiccups in the cycle of the seasons, social interactions, the movements of the planets, and truth. Behaviour on Earth directly affects the cosmos. This is a little different from what modern day new age philosophies preach- as above so below. We have resorted to blaming the planets and tricky alignments for chaos on Earth, but perhaps we need to take some responsibility and realize that we are in a symbiotic relationship with the universe. It will respond to our actions, just like we will respond to it.

When a soul was passing through the underworld, its heart would be weighed against the feather of Maat- the feather of justice. The heart contained the soul of the person and the accumulated energies…both good and bad of the person. If the feather was found to be lighter or of equal weight to the feather, it meant the person lived a virtuous life and would prosper in the afterlife. If the heart was found to be heavier than the feather, the heart would be devoured by the lion goddess Ammit and was to be left in the Duat…purgatory.

Your Heart Weighing Ceremony

If we relate this to our Full Moon in Libra, the lesson here is selflessness. Selflessness requires honesty to thy self and the willingness to compromise. To the Ancient Egyptians, a virtuous life meant that the individual used their power for the greater good of the universe, deeply appreciating the delicate balance it had with the heavens and the responsibility to be a good person on Earth.  Are you being a bystander in your own life, surrendering everything to the universe without taking responsibility for your actions? Or are you co-creating with the universe, setting positive intentions, helping others, and honouring your unique self? This time of balance (especially after the equalizing energy of the Spring Equinox) can emphasize our imbalances. Our Leo North Node might have been making you a little too egotistical, or our Aquarius South Node might have been making you too compromising. Ironically, it was the lion goddess who devoured the imbalanced hearts……….too much Leo energy is unvirtuous which means one cannot truly ascend.

This is the first Full Moon after our cosmic equilibrium of the Spring Equinox where a fertile energetic frequency was created. The conditions are still fertile- especially with this Venus ruled Moon. Falling on Easter Sunday, we know that we are celebrating cosmic ascension (Christ, the Solar Deity rose to heaven on this full moon after the Spring Equinox). We can ascend or more practically speaking, evolve and lighten (Libra) up through rooting our actions with a sense of purpose and grace. Libra energy is about moving away from “me consciousness” to “we consciousness.” Ask yourself if what you are doing is motivated for selfish purposes, or are you wanting to help humanity through your actions? Remember, Libra is an air sign which is great for thinking, and coupled with Mercury Retrograde in Aries, the time is perfect for self-reflection. We are also in an 11 universal year which is also forcing you to awaken so you can share your light with the world.

Think of this Libran Full Moon as your own Heart Weighing Ceremony. Are you acting with integrity, or are you acting with ignorance? Will Anubis allow you to ascend? Or will the Leo goddess devour your soul?

The Aspects

Sun & Moon square Mars & Saturn in Capricorn- this aspect is about looking at the bigger picture. We want to move ahead (Mars), but Saturn wants us to plan. This transit will teach you self-awareness which is required for true balance in our relationships with others and the universe.

Moon Trine North Node in Leo- Like the lioness goddess Ammit who devoured the unvirtuous hearts, we too can remove those parts of ourselves that are holding us back. This might require speaking up for yourself or taking a step back depending on if you’ve been too selfish or too selfless.

Full Moon in Virgo March 1st 2018: Separating the Wheat from the Chaff

Moonbeams: Discernment, Materialization, Healing

Major Lesson to be Learned: Being of service to your higher self by grounding its energies into practical reality

Challenge to Overcome: Not wanting to take a hard look at yourself without your rose coloured glasses on.

The Moon will be putting on her spectacles and rolling up her sleeves during this lunation. There are 4 planets in Pisces- Sun, Neptune, Mercury, & Venus which is imbalancing the Virgo Pisces axis to an extreme. Having such a strong conglomerate of Piscean energy will require la luna to put forth some extra efforts and put on her high beams in order to see through the ethereal mist.

Like a Virgo

Virgo is an earthy sign that is methodocial, organized, self sacrificing, and analytical. It’s staring at all this mystical energy plotting how to fix it. On the other hand, Pisces is a sign of mysticism, surrender, dreams, and emotions. It’s staring at Virgo charming and luring it away from a place of rigidity to a place of flow.

Virgo Full Moons are our opportunities to clean up the Virgo ruled area of our lives. We have 1 full moon in this sign every year and every year I usually see a lot of people decluttering, cleaning, organizing, and revamping their lives. This is Virgo’s ‘sacred work.’ Being of service to yourself and humanity through letting go of material fixations and focusing on how you can help others from a place of true sincerity and humility. When a Virgo is able to properly harmonize its Piscean energy, we can see some beautiful practical magic unfold.

Sacred Work involves applying the 3 ways of the Virgo Pisces axis. Here are 3 ways to work with the energies of this moon.

1. Intuition Precision
Have you ever wondered how it is that Virgo’s always seem to know how to plot their next move? As someone with a few Virgo’s in my family, I can honestly say that I have rarely seen them take a misstep. It’s like they can envision exactly how something is going to play out. This is because Virgo’s more than any other sign, trust their intuition. They rely on their hunches and gut feelings as a navigational tool. Being an earth sign, they will follow through on their feelings and take action. It is this precision intuition that will be illuminated for us during this full moon. Trust your instincts and use the Virgo ability to ground those instincts into reality.

2. Making the Mystic Realistic
This actually happens to be my motto and the motto for this blog. Ironically, I started this blog during the Virgo Pisces axis of 2015, so it makes perfect sense. The Virgo Moon is analyzing all of the Pisces energy and is deciding what you can realistically manifest, and what needs to go. For example, you might have been dreaming about having this amazing perfect job, and yet you haven’t taken any practical steps to acquire that job. The Virgo Moon will tell you to hold on to that dream, but to start putting out resumes and do some networking. Or perhaps you have been fantasizing about getting married and starting a family. The Virgo Moon might completely discard this fantasy because you are not in the right place for that and should be focusing on other things in your life right now. Essentially, this full moon will be giving you a reality check in the Virgo Pisces axis area of your life. It’s not about discarding all of your dreams, since Virgo knows that dreams are the architecture of your reality, rather, she wants too ensure that you are healthy and not obsessing over things that are not “serving” you.

3. Feeling is Healing
This is probably the toughest job for Virgo and one that will be the most uncomfortable during this full moon. Virgo’s are known to be quite cranky and moody and this is because they like to keep all of their emotions stored up inside. They are very afraid of vulnerability and the Piscean void of being open and receptive. Virgo’s will store their pent up feelings inside and these feelings get stored in the sacral chakra- the bowels, intestines, liver, and sexual organs. We know energetically that if you are constipated, or are too regular, or are feeling more depressed and anxious- the above mentioned areas will not be functioning properly due to a build of up of emotions. Remember, Virgo rules the bowels, so it tends to have issues digesting its feelings. With such a heavy emphasis on Pisces energy at this time, we will be feeling extra emotional. You want to be careful that you are not suppressing your emotions, but are finding ways to release them. Go for a walk, do some exercise or yoga, meditate, walk barefoot through the grass, cry, do anything that will help to ground you. Virgo is the sign of the harvest so we have an interesting energetic portal opening up for us at this time. Full Moons wrap up cycles, usually two week cycles, but I would go further back and say this moon is wrapping up what began during our New Moon in Virgo back on September 19, 2017. What did you experience back then? With a harvest moon occuring right before Spring, there is a need to release and discern what is healthy for us and what is making us sick. We all know Virgo is the sign of health and healing, so use this Full Moon to listen to your body.
There has been a lot of hype about this lunation for the simple fact that we have a stellium in Pisces. We cannot discount Pisces energy as being illusory and useless, we have to honour all of its magical gifts by using its Virgo opposition to materialize it. This is why the Full Moon in Virgo is about ‘separating the wheat from the chaff’ the most sacred work there is.

Full Moon in Aries October 5, 2017: Putting Out the Flames

Moonbeams

Moon in Aries opposite Sun in Libra- you vs me

Moon opposite Mercury- feelings are not being communicated

Pluto Square Moon- Control and change is needed, but we feel nervous about having to make a change

Mars in Virgo conjunct Venus in Virgo- small details is what is needed now, gentle energy

Mars trine Pluto- taking small practical steps is the way to handle all of this fire

Mars square Saturn- we want the small steps to make fast changes, but Saturn is slowing us down with his methodology

Mars opposite Neptune- just because you can’t see it, doesn’t mean there isn’t work going on behind the scenes

A full moon in Aries always sets off fire alarms in the cosmos. Action for the sake of action is meaningless until inspiration is thrown into the mix. I get the feeling that for the past couple of months, on an individual level, we have been robotically living, meaning that our lives have been hectic and busy but missing joy and heartfelt ambition. When we are in the season of Libra, it becomes very obvious where we have been giving too much of ourselves at the expense of our own well-being. The Full Moon in Aries is going to push us to take small practical steps to change our lives. With the moon opposing Neptune this can be as simple as saying “no” or standing up for yourself. It is during fiery times that we come to appreciate the little things in life. It’s time to take a break and pay attention to whether your hectic lifestyle is for selfish reasons and if you are offsetting this by taking the time to help others? Venus in Virgo conjunct Mars in Virgo shows the need to want to express loving sentiments to others, and we must remember that when we serve others we are indirectly serving ourselves. The most important thing to keep in mind during this lunation is have you been self-serving or self-sacrificing lately? And is there a difference between the two?

Full Moon in Sagittarius June 9, 2017: The Box

Date- June 9, 2017

Degree- 18 degrees

Moonbeams- It’s time to move on……

“Instead of thinking outside of the box, get rid of the box”– Deepak Chopra

Welcome to our Full Moon in Sagittarius. The Full Moon will be conjunct Saturn which is all about doing research to figure out what we’re doing and not doing correctly. Saturn polishes whatever it touches, so we are being asked to work hard in order to see the desired results. Saturn is absorbing much of the emotional essence of this moon, so it’s important to have realistic goals. A great question to ask yourself at this time is “Am I where I’m supposed to be?” The ninth house ruler in Astrology is Sagittarius which rules travel and philosophy among other things- so this is encouraging us to step outside of our comfort zones and known territories. Saturn- the old time God- is letting us know that time is an illusion- everything is always in a constant state of change, so while this lunation will be heavy, know that you are exactly where you are meant to be. The mutable moon is also reminding us that while we feel like we’re in a slump- things are about to become progressively better.

The Full Moon will also be trine Uranus & Eris in Aries so a definite shock to the system will be in store. It’s time to wake up and face the reality (Saturn) of your current situation.

The Full Moon will also be square Neptune which indicates an existential crisis might occur. Use creativity to help your situation. There is a great need to be honest with your higher self- if need be, call upon your guides for help. Now is not the time to get swept away by feelings of inertia. Use the intuitive and imaginative energies of Neptune to think outside of the box.

Saturn is almost always depicted as an old man with a long grey beard holding a scythe. He is the timekeeper- the grim reaper who appears when it’s “time” for a journey to end (a.k.a- Saturn Returns). This Full Moon is a grandfather clock made out of a box- Sagittarius & Neptune are going to allow us to tear open the box we have locked ourselves in and experience a change of scenery…….even if that scenery is merely in our heads (Gemini Sun).

2017 has been tough for many of us. We all entered this 1 universal year with the hopes of experiencing so many wonderful new things, but in order to welcome in the new, we must first let go of the old. 2016 is when the “old” became obvious to us. This year we have the task of literally clearing out of all of the old.  We might have packed away everything that is no longer serving us, but we now have to confront the new. If you want to experience change, then stop hoarding boxes filled with old outdated ideas and recycle them into something positive and inspiring.

The Full Moon in Sagittarius will help us to see outside of these cardboard prisons while the Saturn conjunction will be offering us a pair of box cutters.

Are you ready for change?

Full Moon in Scorpio May 10, 2017: Soul Detective

Date: May 10, 2017

Degree- 20 degrees

Moonbeams- what is really going on?

Like a detective on the hunt for clues to solve a murder mystery, our Full Moon in Scorpio is asking us to solve our crime of passion, that being our intuitive neglect. Scorpio is a penetrating sign that is able to uncover the “hidden” in everyday life. Ruled by Pluto, Scorpionic energy needs to transform and cleanse negativity in order to make room for its purest expression of intuition. As a water sign, Scorpio’s gift is that of psychic prowess. If Cancer is the healer, and Pisces is the Dreamer, than Scorpio is the mirror. Taurus is the polarity of Scorpio indicating that one’ needs are directly linked to one’s desires. Scorpio above any other sign wants to feel validated for who they truly are without having projections thrown onto them. They cannot help that they find themselves swimming the underground chambers of those they encounter, they cannot help the fact that what they “see” is what they project. In essence, Scorpio becomes the cracked mirror of the zodiac, unable to foster a deep sense of themselves without letting the murky waters below pull them under.

During this lunation the sun will be in Taurus lighting up the Taurus-Scorpio axis. How can we foster that deep sense of self from a place of purity as opposed to contamination? Let’s look to our cosmic clues during this full moon to help us solve this crime.

Mars Squaring Neptune

  • Inability to trust the flow of life, lack of self trust.

Pluto RX Trine Sun

  • Transformation

Mercury Conjunct Uranus

  • Exposure- truth coming out

Full Moon Trine Neptune

  • Strong intuition

Full Moon Trine Chiron

  • Healing the psyche

Solving the Crime

If we put these clues together, we can see that this full moon is providing us with the opportunity to repair our cracked mirrors through trusting ourselves and the journey we find ourselves on. If your projections are negative, look within yourself to purge what is no longer serving you. Scorpio is the regenerative sign, so rest assured that even if the waters pull you under, there is a cavern full of light that is beckoning to you…………….transformation.

Mystery Solved.

Case Closed.

Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Leo: The New Reign Begins

Full Moon Lunar Eclipse- 22 degrees in Leo

Date: February 10, 2017

Moonbeams- Major shifts in perspective, looking at things from a new angle, following your heart

Our hearts and mind will be in sync during this lunar eclipse, as Leo rules the heart and Aquarius rules the mind. The lights of the sun and moon are going to imbue us with a majestic self-love truth. If you think about it, the Sun rules Leo, and Aquarius does have a very strong lunar energy, because Aquarius is about looking at things from a higher perspective, and illuminates truth- just like the moon. So considering this will be an eclipse, which is viewed as a shadow period, we will in fact be very strongly connected to light- Love, Integrity, Greatness, Healing, Truth

This is only a prenumbral eclipse- as the moon will be moving through earth’s outer shadow, so the moonlight will not be as bright, but it’s important to remember, that when darkness befalls the sky, we have a grand opportunity to become the luminaries we are, to step into our own light.

This eclipse is sort of like a reset that will be a nice preview of things to come, as we are still in an integration period. Yes we are in a 1 universal year, however, the cosmic new year does not officially begin until the Spring Equinox- March 22. So many of us have been feeling like we are still in 2016. There has still been a lot of releasing and letting go, and I know I have been feeling a little frustrated because 2017 so far has been a little bit of a struggle. We will also have 2 of the same eclipses in August, so think of this eclipse, and our solar eclipse coming up in a couple of weeks as a door opening, and August eclipses of the other side of the open door.

We also have a Mystic Rectangle in fire and air with the 22° Leo Moon, 21° Uranus in Aries, 22° Aquarius Sun and 23° Jupiter in Libra. This mystic rectangle is essentially telling us that when we change our perspective, we can change our life! It’s also about putting yourself out there as Leoline energy encourages us to do, but we can’t do it alone. We need to share our light with the collective, which Aquarius encourages us to do.

This eclipse will also be conjunct the north node, so this eclipse will bring you something. You will gain something from this energy. It’s important that you create a transit chart to see what house this eclipse will be happening, because that will tell you what you can expect to gain. It’s also very important to note if you have any planets between 18-27 degrees in Aquarius- because those planets and the houses they are in will also be triggered.

When you shift your perspective, is when you truly able to see your passions and follow them whole heartedly. So put on your crown of stars and let the world hear you roar!

Full Moon in Cancer January 12, 2017: Shell Shocked

Moonbeams- taking action, getting things done

Welcome to our first lunation of 2017! The Moon will be in 22 degrees of Cancer which is the Master Builder number, signaling a major transformation that will create the foundation for this year.

There will be a grand cardinal cross happening at this time with Uranus in Aries, Jupiter in Libra, Pluto conjunct with the Sun. The whole year will be under the influence of this Cardinal energy, so it will be a year of getting things done and taking action. Cardinal signs will feel this the strongest, however, everyone will be transformed in some way.

The date of January 12, 2017 adds up the number 14 which is a karmic number. This number is about initiative, taking charge, and everlasting momentum. The transformation this moon brings will set the tone for the whole year, so just because something does not manifest in these next two weeks, does not mean there is not a lot of construction and deconstruction going on, although that is highly unlikely. The Moon will be in the sign of the crab, Cancer, so ultimately, this energy is about reconnecting us to ourselves, our internal oasis, and sense of comfort. It is ironic that this grand cardinal cross will be quite uncomfortable, because it is only when we are out of our comfort zones, when we are able to grow and find our way back “home.”  Many of us will have a major change of heart about something, and all of us will be enlightened.

If you have either you Sun, Moon, or AC in the Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn) your personal lives, home, relationships, and careers will be illuminated. If you have your Sun, Moon, AC in the Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius) then your opinions and perceptions will be illuminated. If you have either Sun, Moon, AC in Mutable signs (Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces, Gemini) then issues of security and possessions will be illuminated. Please check to see where this Full Moon will be in your natal chart, because the house its transiting will bring a transformative energy to it. Saturn in Sagittarius will bring a stabilizing energy to this upheaval, so while it will be intense, rest assured that your life is being changed for the long-term.

This is a time of major emotional releasing. Uranus is rebelling, instigating a defiance within us, Jupiter in Libra is asking us to harmonize with our heart, the Sun and Pluto in conjunction is creating a major transformation within us. Like the crab who uses its shell as its home, defense, and identity marker, our own shells will be crashing and swaying with the waves of opposing energies during this lunation. The Moon is very comfortable in its own sign of Cancer, so take advantage of its nurturing qualities, and enjoy the ride. Be prepared to be shell-shocked!

Full Moon in Gemini: Light & Love

Time: 12:04am universal time

Supermoon- 22 degrees Gemini

Day: December 14, 2016

Moonbeams: liberation, perspective, abundance, integration of heart and mind

Welcome to our last full moon of 2016. The major theme of all of our lunations this year have been about releasing and self-love. Our full moon in Gemini, the sign of communication and the mind, is asking you to pay extra close attention to your thoughts, because they are manifesting. Gemini is the astrological archetype of creation, the coming together of spirit and form, creating a bridge between the lower mind and higher mind. The higher mind is actually the heart, because the heart does not analyze, it just feels. Saturn conjunct the Sun in Sagittarius will make your thoughts real and will be grounding them into reality very soon, so think loving things and how they make you feel. The numerological code of December 14, 2016 actually adds up to the number 17, which is the number of being at the right place at the right time, and the moon will be 22 degrees in Gemini, 22 being the master-builder number a.k.a, major manifestation magic!

There is also a Grand Trine happening with the Moon in Gemini, Libra in Jupiter, and Mars in Aquarius- all air signs- which is the Trine of thinking big and having a beautiful image of yourself and your life. This is a feel good lunation so make sure you are feeling good, both with your thoughts and feelings. When you do that, you will be able to alchemize amazing energy between your mind and heart that will create beauty and love in all its forms. When energies come together, light is always a by-product, so use that light as your guidepost for this upcoming 9 year cycle. The Full Moon always illuminates, so take this moment to shine bright and to shine a light on these past 9 years. By doing so, you will finally remove them from the darkness of your subconscious, sending them to the light.

The luminosity of this full moon is magical, within it are encoded messages of liberation, happiness, and love. This supermoon is going to remind everyone, that love is the light that connects us all. Now is the time to stop releasing and fixating on the past. This 9 year cycle has officially come to a close with this full moon, so celebrate and only focus on the present and future with both gratitude and joy.

Tips

The Grand Trine happening in the air signs, Gemini, and Jupiter in Libra are all about love. Love is literally in the air. Now is a great time to manifest a relationship, or set intentions around improving your current relationship or self-love.
