I Am Andromeda: Cosmic Chit Chat

Back in late July I had my Astrology chart read by an Astrologer and friend whose work I greatly admire, Smiljana Gavrancic. Even though I am an Astrologer, Smiljana has years of experience and techniques that I have not learned. I recommend that every Astrologer have their chart read by another Astrologer because they are able to provide a subjective perspective using techniques that may be different than one’s own.

The most startling thing that was pointed out in my chart was that my Venus at 17 degrees Aries is conjunct the fixed star Baten Kaitos in the Cetus constellation at 21 degrees Aries. This star is known as the “chained princess” star. According to Smiljana this star represents “the intestines of the sea monster, the whale, and here we have the story of Andromeda, the chained princess, who is saved by Perseus.” I was not familiar with the story of Andromeda, but upon further research, I was astonished to learn that this story was very personal.

Who is Andromeda?

Andromeda is the daughter of the Aethiopian king Cepheus and his wife Cassiopeia. When Cassiopeia’s hubris leads her to boast that Andromeda is more beautiful than the Nereids, Poseidon sends the sea monster Cetus to ravage Andromeda as divine punishment. Andromeda is stripped and chained naked to a rock as a sacrifice to the monster, but is saved from death by Perseus. Andromeda and Perseus then went to Perseus’ kingdom in Saifos, married, and had children. Andromeda lived happily ever after by establishing a kingdom far away from her controlling mother Cassiopeia. Cassiopeia was then condemned to be chained to a chair forced to wheel around the North Celestial Pole on her throne, spending half of her time clinging to it so she does not fall off.

I AM ANDROMEDA

This story happens to perfectly represent the relationship I have with my own Mother. Cassiopeia was a suffocating Mother. She didn’t think anyone was good enough for Andromeda which is why Poseidon punished her. Poseidon being the God of the sea, which is representative of our emotions, knew that the only way to punish Cassiopeia for her arrogance was to affect her on a very deep emotional level. All Andromeda needed in her life was a sense of freedom which she could not have under the domain of her Mother. It took a prince- Perseus, to come and rescue her away from the sea monster- the emotional disturbances. This is why Andromeda was known as the “chained princess.” She had to escape from the arms of her controlling mother, and go far away where she would have the opportunity to have a life of her own.

My relationship with my Mother is the relationship Andromeda has with Cassiopeia. We are extremely close (due to some other planetary alignments) and sometimes it feels as though she is preventing me from truly living my life. She always says to me “I have to live for myself,” yet she unconsciously guilts me into doing the opposite. Smiljana said the only way that I can break from her chains is to move far away from my Mother…another city, province, or country. She told me the man who will take me far away to his kingdom like Perseus, is the man I need to be with. So far no one is in my life, but as soon as I am completely self-sufficient, I know this is something I must do, even though it would break my heart.

When in Rome…

Audrey Hepburn also had her Venus in Aries conjunct Baten Kaitos, and her film ‘Roman Holiday’ also exemplified the story of Andromeda. Audrey played Princess Anya and she wanted nothing more than to escape from her role as Princess and live a normal life. So she decided to sneak out of her castle in Rome and wander the streets at night without anyone recognizing her. In her adventures through the eternal Rome, Audrey suddenly meets Gregory Peck, who plays an American journalist who falls in love with her.  Here we can see Audrey Hepburn as Andromeda and Gregory Peck as Perseus- a foreigner who is able to help Audrey escape.

It’s no coincidence that ‘Roman Holiday’ happens to be one of my favourite films. I’ve always had a fondness for Audrey Hepburn, but seeing as we both have the same “chained princess” syndrome, my fascination with her and this movie makes perfect sense!

More Synchronicity’s

The story of Andromeda can also be seen in the story of Demeter and Persephone. Persephone was kidnapped by Hades and had to remain in the underworld for 6 months of the year. Demeter being the goddess of the harvest, was so grief stricken that Autumn and Winter befell the Earth for 6 months. When Persephone was able to return to Earth, the following 6 months were Spring and Summer, hence why Persephone is the goddess of Spring.

My Mother happens to be born in the Autumn, while I was born during the Spring Equinox, so once again we can see the chained princess energy playing out.

My name means princess….coincidence?

Cassiopeia was believed to be the most beautiful goddess and constellation, and my Mother has always been complimented for her beauty.

My Mother has the fixed star ‘Shedir’ which is the Lady in the Chair star which is the main star in the Cassiopeia constellation conjunct her natal Moon (motherhood). Thus, we can say that my Mother has the ‘Cassiopeia syndrome.’

To Conclude…

Do I feel like a chained princess? Yes. I have had a privileged life, but freedom is all I crave, and I’m afraid it’s going to take a handsome foreign Prince to whisk me away. Is it wrong to wait to be rescued? Of course, but if I don’t, the monsters are going to eat me.

Shamanic Qabalah by Daniel Moler- REVIEW

Shamanic Qabalah is one of my favourite books I have read from Llewellyn this year. Author Daniel Moler takes the reader on an initiatory journey through the mystical Qabalah from the perspective of South American Shamanism. At first, it seemed that the “shamanic” aspects of the book were missing. There was definitely more emphasis and time spent on the Tree of Life, but as with Western Mystery Traditions, things are not what they seem. Shamanic Qabalahism is about grounding the mystical into the practical. For those who know little about Shamanism, it can appear as a mind tripping exploration of altered states of consciousness. However, this book proposes that the whole purpose of exploring the spiritual should be to harmonize the material world, which allows one to truly acknowledge and embrace their divine essence. My favourite part of the book was the deep look at the Sephiras. I thought they were beautifully and concisely explained. I especially enjoyed the discussions of the corresponding Tarot cards which I feel other books on the Qabalah have skipped past. I wish there was more discussion about how Shamanism incorporates into the Tree of Life in the chapters that delved deep into each Sephira, because from my understanding, it was missing. If you are new to the Qabalah this book will be difficult to understand, but do not let that scare you away. There is an abundance of information contained within this volume that your consciousness will know what to do with. Afterall, one of the main tenets of Shamanism is to create a bridge of trust between the supernatural and natural worlds.
It almost doesn’t seem right to review a book of this type. I would have to re-read this a few more times to fully grasp its messages, but I believe this would only be scratching the surface. Daniel Moler said in his conclusion that this book was only an introductory book on this topic. I sincerely hope that Daniel will follow-up this book with more on this unique subject.  As someone who is looking to imbue life with practical spirituality, Shamanic Qabalah  has awakened my soul to a new way of viewing the world and cross cultural traditions.

New Moon Partial Solar Eclipse August 11, 2018: A Tangled Mane

Moonbeams: It’s time to reinvent yourself! What are you projecting into the world?

The grand finale of this summer’s trio of eclipses has arrived with the New Moon Partial Solar Eclipse in Leo occurring on August 11, 2018.

A Solar Eclipse is just like a regular new moon where the Moon passes between Earth and the Sun. However, a Solar Eclipse is more powerful because the Moon darkens the Sun. This is a partial Solar Eclipse so most of the Sun will still be visible. A Solar Eclipse places emphasis on our mental processes and self-awareness. Solar Eclipse energies will present themselves as shifts in consciousness in your waking life.

The North Node is currently in Leo where it has been since May 2017 and will remain there until November of this year. The North Node is currently at 5 degrees Leo and the Sun & Moon will be at 18 degrees Leo, meaning the eclipse is a wide conjunction therefore it is only a very small partial eclipse. It’s effects will still be felt nonetheless. This Eclipse will be visible in Northern Canada, Asia, and Greenland.

The long and powerful Total Lunar Eclipse in Aquarius from July 27 will be tied up with this eclipse. The Leo Aquarius axis deals with heart centred actions. Leo energy without Aquarius are grand lofty ideas that lack objectivity. Aquarius energy without Leo is detached innovation that cannot materialize. We need both polarities if we expect to see any real changes in our lives.

Since this is a North Node eclipse, we are being cosmically pushed to align with our destiny. A Leo Solar Eclipse begs you to show up and do what you have to do.

Aspects

Mercury Retrograde Conjunct the New Moon- this will make you think and review how you show up in the world. Are you being honest and authentic? Or are you putting on a show?

Eclipse Square Jupiter in Scorpio– Fears and hurtful words will be expressed that can wound some egos (Leo) that can come back to haunt us once Mercury turns direct. These fears and pains are centred around our unhealthy self-identification practices. What sort of negative self-talk are telling yourself? What are you denying that you need to admit?

Eclipse Square Juno– It’s time to rip up those old contracts (literally and metaphorically)!

Mercury Square Jupiter– What we think will be at odds with what believe.

It seems Mercury Retrograde and its strong aspects at this time are giving the Eclipse a run for its money! It’s not often that we see so much emphasis on a retrograde planet during an Eclipse. Let’s keep in mind that this is still a New Moon in Leo which asks us to assert our power in a selfless way.

____________________________________________________________________________________________

The Kozminsky Symbol for the Eclipse is

A giant holding a number of bleeding hearts pierced on his sword.
Denotes a man of compelling will and magnetic force who stops at nothing to carry out his ambitions. He rises to power through blood or tears or both. He wields and binds, and those whom he binds will bleed, for his work is the work of materialistic pride which dissolves in the fires of hate. It is a symbol of Compulsion.

This definitely isn’t the most pleasant symbology, however, the symbol of compulsion is important to note. The major theme with this eclipse is finding a balance between the ego and the self. Balanced Leo energy is self-conscious to the point that there is such a strong definite knowing of its purpose and direction that it no longer feels the need to force its will and personality onto others. It learns to simply tap into its own creative genius to leave its unique mark on the world. This is an important lesson for us to keep in mind. With Mercury being Retrograde, it will be difficult for us to think clearly. We will find ourselves falling prey to arrogance and pride. You must remember that self-awareness is key here. You are being forced to think what you believe which may not be easy, depending on how much you have been suppressing.

To go back to the Kozminksy symbol, a bleeding heart is a wounded heart which has been ignored and abused. We ignore and abuse our hearts when we over-think things and when we place too much emphasis on external gratification. We have to come back into our hearts at this eclipse by using Mercury RX to help us analyze where we have been cheating ourselves.

To Conclude…

I call this Eclipse ‘A Tangled Mane’ because we are going to have to comb through some knots that have been hiding beneath the layers of our hair for quite some time. A mane is the most recognizable feature of the lion and is used to identify healthy, strong, and virile lions. If it’s knotted and messy, what sort of messages is this sending out to the animal kingdom? How’s your mane looking? What knots are hiding in your identity that you need to comb through?

Lammas: Bun in the Oven

What is Lammas?

During August, the grain- the staff of life grows ready to harvest. The great goddess appears with her sickle. Her womb produces berries, fruits, grains, and the most potent herbs. Her companion the Sun God, no longer shows his gentle brightly radiating figure, he is now fiery, burns hotly, and is drying. The Celts called him Lugh, the smart and skillful god, the master of all arts, the Lion with the Quiet Hand. It is he who brings everything to fullness and ripeness with his flame and his wisdom. He symbolizes the receding year, the west where the Sun sets in red-hot embers. Under his reign the grain grows golden, the fruit becomes sweet and red yellow, the herbs become spicier and stronger than at midsummer. But the Sun god is also the ruthless harvester, the reaper, who finishes off the green and budding life with his heat. Lugh and the goddess of the Earth celebrated a wedding during the full moon of August and invited people to celebrate with them. The festival of Lugh was a fire festival during which huge piles of wood were ignited. This tradition endured among the insular Celts for many years. – From the book ‘Witchcraft Medicine’ by Claudis Muller-Ebeling, Christian Ratsch, & Wolf-Dieter Storl

There was also a more crude aspect to this festival involving the cutting up of a corpse, but I’ll spare you the gross details.

Lammas was the occasion for blessing all the herbs that would be needed during the coming year for health and well-being of the house and stable. It also made good sense to collect the herbs during the dog days of summer because the aroma, taste, and medicine are manifestations of the powerful light and warmth of vegetation. The Sun infused the herbs and plants with its healing rays.

The Wheel of the Year

The Pagan Wheel of the Year brings us now the harvest festival on August 1st known as Lughnasadh or Lammas as it is commonly referred to as.

If you have been following my Pagan Wheel of the Year journey, you will have seen that I have related the sabbats to the process of creation. The last point on our calendar was the Summer Solstice- Ensoulment, the time of the year where our creation was given a soul. Now we come to the harvest season, where we are offered the opportunity to reflect back on our journey and to see the fruits of our labour, and the wheat of our harvest.

Our creation has just entered the 7 month point. We are close to giving birth to our creation at the Winter Solstice. In a normal pregnancy, the 7 month point is when the Mother can start to feel anxious and excited. The due date is only 3 months away. What was created at Imbolc is now becoming a reality.

Astrology of Lammas

Astrologically, Lammas occurs when the Sun reaches 15 degrees Leo. This is the halfway point in a fixed sign, meaning the ability to rebirth ourselves is heightened. Leo connects to the heart chakra and the qualities of courage, gratitude, and abundance. Lammas is the perfect time to reflect on these themes and how they have showed up or not showed up in your life.

To go back to the myth of Lammas, the Celtic god of light- Lugh and son of the Sun, he transfers his power into the grain and is sacrificed when the grain is harvested. The art of creation is one of the most selfless acts we as souls can partake in because we ultimately do not know the outcome. Let’s not forget that a balanced Leo energy is selfless, and not selfish like how most of us have experienced Leo energy. Remember the myth of Lugh, the Sun God who chooses to set so the fruits and wheat can harvest is an example of selflessness that Lammas inspires.

Celebrate Lammas by doing an energetic detox. We can only best serve others when we ourselves are in a healthy state. An energetic detox is kick-started when you finally cut back on those sweets, or when you start exercising, or starting a gratitude journal. Our bodies have been imprinted with the spiritual rays of the Sun all summer and it is during Lammas and the month of August when we start to visibly notice less daylight. With all of the solar energy we have gathered, now is the time to commence the healing.

To Conclude…

For most of us in North America, August is not the time of year when we go out into the fields to harvest wheat, or start buying pumpkins, and corn husks to decorate our front porches. It’s still very warm. But there is a shift that happens, whereby, the fun times of the Summer are slowly winding down as parents start preparing their kids for back to school, and stores start their end of summer sales. Naturally, we all start to reflect on the previous months and start making plans for Autumn. Lammas is the perfect time to make a gratitude list and count your blessings.

A typical way to celebrate Lammas is to bake a loaf of bread using the wheat harvested in early August. We can equate this to baking the frequency we received at Imbolc in our own ovens- providing it with the right conditions so it can make the best of its last 3 months. Wheat symbolizes the spermatic power of the staff of life, thus nearing the end of the pregnancy, I suspect most people can appreciate the divine process of creation. The sperm is essentially in the process of being harvested at Lammas. I suppose this is where the saying “bun in the oven” comes from.

FINIS

Emma Wheeler Wilcox has a beautiful poem that captures the energy of Lammas.

YOU NEVER CAN TELL

YOU never can tell when you send a word–
Like an arrow shot from a bow
By an archer blind– be it cruel or kind,
Just where it will chance to go.
It may pierce the breast of your dearest friend,
Tipped with its poison or balm;
To a stranger’s heart in life’s great mart
It may carry its pain or its calm.

You never can tell when you do an act
   Just what the result will be;
But with every deed you are sowing a seed,
Though the harvest you may not see. …………………………………………..Leo selflessness
Each kindly act is an acorn dropped
   In God’s productive soil;
You may not know, yet the tree shall grow
And shelter the brows that toil.

You never can tell what your thoughts will do
In bringing you hate or love;
For thoughts are things, and their airy wings
Are swifter than carrier doves.
They follow the law of the universe–
Each thing must create its kind;
And they speed o’er the track to bring you back
Whatever went out from your mind.

Full Moon Lunar Eclipse July 27, 2018: Bath Bomb

The triptych of this summer’s eclipses brings us to the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Aquarius. This will be the longest eclipse of this century, lasting 1 hour and 23 minutes. It will be visible everywhere except North America. Since it is the longest eclipse in 100 years, this speaks of very long-lasting changes coming to those parts of the world, which is in effect for the next 6 months. Even if you do not see the eclipse, you will still feel its energies.

This particular eclipse will be a total lunar eclipse because the South Node of the Moon which is currently at 5 degrees Aquarius will be conjunct the Moon at 4 degrees Aquarius making this a super tight conjunction. If it were a farther apart conjunction as we saw with the solar eclipse in Cancer a couple of weeks ago, it would have been a partial eclipse.

A full moon eclipse is a full moon on steroids. It speaks of major cycles wrapping up which also begin important new cycles. Eclipses are portals that accelerate us to where we need to be. A lunar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes directly behind Earth. This is about grounding important new energetic waves into our lives. It’s less about spiritual downloads and more about our tangible experiences being tested and transformed.

Blood Sucker

This particular full moon will also be a blood moon due to the reddish tinge that will cover the moon as its passing behind Earth’s shadow. Blood Moons have a long history with being connected to important biblical and world events, and I would recommend googling this for further information. This particular Blood Moon is ironic considering it will be a Martian lunar eclipse. I think of Blood Moons as frequencies that change the DNA of our karmic experiences. They are sort of like flabotumists who extract some of our blood for analysis. The Blood Moon is a way to deliver some brand new experiences on our karmic journeys that have waited for a specific divine time to do so. Remember, Mars has been conjunct the South Node of the Moon all summer. This conjunction has been about burning away the old and purging. The Blood Moon is now the time to welcome in the new. A new blood supply is coming.

A Boiling Water Vessel- The Aspects

Moon Conjunct Mars-   You will feel more passionate, angry, irritable, motivated, determined, and impatient

Mars Retrograde- Click here to read my detailed analysis of this aspect

Moon Square Uranus-   Impatient, spontaneous, feeling restricted

Moon Semi-Sextile Saturn-   Feeling committed to what it dear to your heart

Mars Square Uranus-   Breakthroughs

Saturn Trine Uranus-  Reset

I call these aspects “boiling the water vessel” because this is the symbol of Aquarius. The water bearer holds a massive vessel about to pour its cleansing waters on humanity. This is why Aquarius is associated with enlightenment & humanitarianism. With the super tight conjunction with Mars, it’s as though the water in the vessel is coming to a boil. The vessel is a kettle at this eclipse. The cleansing waters are cooking something new for all of us.

Aquarius is about doing things your own way. It’s about owning your individuality so you can be of better service to humanity. It’s the reset we need in order to be able to take the next big leap in our evolution. We can’t forget that the North Node of the Moon is in Leo, so the message is clear. We can’t continue to do things the old way anymore. It’s time to put on your crown.

The difficult aspects between Mars and Uranus can give the tendency to be reckless and foolish, so anything that you can do to calm yourself down will be extremely helpful at this time.

The most challenging aspect of this Lunar Eclipse is that we are being cosmically pushed to finally do what it is that we need to do. Look to see where Aquarius falls in your natal chart because this will give you clues as to what needs to be accomplished.

The Kozminksy symbol for this eclipse is:

4º Aquarius: A beautiful fountain throwing upwards delicate sprays of yellow-tinted water, a jeweled crown showing in the mists.
Denotes one of refined mind who is destined to advance and gain power and influence over others. He will bring relief to many a thirsty soul, and many will bless him as he passes by the way. He is humanitarian, sincere, romantic, and harmonious. The life is not free from danger until after the thirtieth year has passed. Thence his way is elevation and peace. It is a symbol of Defending.

This symbol is about defending your kingdom (Aquarius). We have the soldier Mars who is armed and ready to do whatever it takes to fulfill his orders from the Moon, Sun, & Nodes. He will assist us in winning our destiny. He will fight to the death. The glory is there just beyond the steam of the boiling water vessel.

To Conclude…

Treat this Lunar Eclipse as a hot soothing bath that will leave you feeling rejuvenated and refreshed. It might sting a little at first, and you certainly don’t want to spend too much time in the tub for obvious health reasons, but after a while you get used to it, and it feels good. You drop in a bath bomb and the hot water activates it, unleashing its pretty goodness. Heat is healing, and this Lunar Eclipse has a lot of heat. Mars will drop his bomb in your hot bath with this eclipse. Be prepared for a multi-layered explosion of colour and fizz…. and how Aquarian is that.

Neptune Retrograde June 18, 2018- November 24, 2018: Let it Go!

Neptune goes retrograde every year for approximately 160 days, so it’s not as rare as a Mars or Venus retrograde. We are given a reality check every year with its cycle and that’s definitely not a bad thing. Could you imagine if we were in a constant dream like state? We need Neptune RX no matter how confrontational it might be.

How it Feels

Imagine trying to run really fast in a swimming pool. You can’t do it. The water holds you back, your legs feel heavy, maybe even your feet slip on the bottom of the pool. There’s a heaviness that comes around with Neptune RX. The drifting energy is replaced with anchors tied to your feet. You are forced to confront reality as you know it. This is why you might feel stuck or scared.

The Nature of Neptune

Neptune dissolves boundaries. It is the process of dissolution that creates the dream airy fairy nature we most associate with this planet. It’s like life takes on a grainy image. Something is not working yet your mind can play all sorts of tricks on you making you see different shapes and symbols in the process. Where ever Neptune sits in your natal chart is where you have to learn to let go of the false structure that you have created in that area of your life. It’s the area where you delude yourself and what you are afraid of losing the most. Neptune RX will erase your grainy vision, collapse the false structures, and force you to confront your fears.

Neptune Retrograde 2018

Neptune turned Retrograde on June 18th and will remain so until November 24th. This year’s RX will be supported by a Grand Water Trine with Mercury in Cancer, Jupiter in Scorpio, and Neptune in Pisces. This triangulation of energy will support us in owning up to our deceptions no matter how much Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn and Mars and the South Node conjunction will try to boss us around.

Advice

Saying goodbye is hard and change is uncomfortable. Neptune Retrograde teaches us to take off the rose-coloured glasses and see our creations for the good, the bad, and the ugly. Neptune in Pisces is about embracing the void- that membrane where life eludes us, where we lack a reference to understand its meaning. Neptune RX heightens this feeling so depending on which house Pisces rules in your own chart, you are going to feel a lack of control and emptiness there. It is when we lack something that we learn the most about ourselves and appreciate the journey of life more than ever before.  This is the ultimate form of simplicity and authenticity which are the basic archetypal energies of Neptune and Pisces.

It’s time to power wash your psyche by acknowledging that you don’t really know what’s best for you, otherwise Neptune would not have to take us out of our ignorance every year. Neptune RX in Pisces is a deconditioning process that teaches us how to let go and surrender.

The greatest lesson that Neptune Retrograde will teach us according to Democritus is that “we know nothing in reality for truth lies in an abyss.”

New Moon in Gemini June 13, 2018: Broken Wings

Moonbeams: Why isn’t anyone listening to me?

Lesson to Learn: Accept your own truth first.

The New Moon in Gemini on June 13, 2018 will be one of our most emotional New Moons this year. We have the ruler of the Moon- Mercury in the sign of Cancer which is a super emotional energy. Mercury lacks the objectivity and maturity it so desires when he is sitting in the crab shell of Cancer. This along with him opposing Saturn is the most important energy at this NM.

Mercury is the planet of communication both speaking and listening. Mercury in Cancer is emotional and sensitive, all he wants is for others to hear him out. The trouble, is that Saturn in Capricorn is sitting opposite Mercury which is blocking the emotional release Mercury wants at this time. Saturn is forcing you to think logically and maturely which is not easy when all you want to do is cry.

A T-Square is being formed with Chiron in Aries and the Mercury Saturn opposition. This shows that our pain is self-inflicted. We don’t want to confront our emotions, we just want to unload them onto someone else. The lesson here is to acknowledge your pain and take responsibility for it. This means accepting your truth no matter how painful it is.

I’ve called this NM ‘Broken Wings’ for a few reasons. Firstly, the God Mercury had winged shoes that helped him with his duties as the messenger God. Some of his patron animals are birds. Birds rely on their wings for everything, without them, or when they are injured, they usually die. Right now, everyone is feeling injured in some way. You want to move forward, but you can’t. You want to say something, but you can’t. We’re feeling restricted like a bird whose wings are broken.

Secondly, the song ‘Broken Wings’ by Mister Mister contains lyrics that resonate with the energies of this NM. Since the Full Moon in Sagittarius on May 29th, most people have been having a really hard time. That Moon was conjunct some evil stars that inflicted some pretty heavy duty karma on many people. Keep in mind also, that Mars and the South Node were conjunct in Capricorn this past week which is all about burning away the old. We all feel hurt, but as the song says, we have to “learn to fly again and learn to love so free.”

Thirdly, this song was based on the Khalil Gibran novel of the same name which was all about forbidden love in the Middle East. The NM feels a lot like this. Saturn is forbidding the NM from speaking up, because we first have to accept our feelings and conditions of our life before spewing about it which won’t help us in the long run.

Mercury in Cancer wants to unleash its emotions like a bird who has been locked in a cage for years. Saturn is forcing us to think before we act, to listen to our own voice before we speak, and to accept before we reject. It’s a tough lesson to learn when you’re wings are broken, but they too will heal. Capricorn loves putting things back together, in fact, that’s what it does. Honour your reality as a broken bird on the ground, because it will take you to new heights. Look up instead of down.

Silence is the gilded cage that we need to lock ourselves in for a while until we’re ready to take flight.
