Cosmic Chit Chat: My Mars Story…& European Football

2019 has been a Martian year for me. I’m in a 1 personal year in numerology which connects to Aries-Mars, and my natal Mars has been activated all year- experiencing my Mars return, Saturn/Pluto/South Node opposing it, and the eclipses waking it up. Normally I hate sports and as a girly girl I can tell you that I’ve never liked it…but as a result of all these transits, I began watching European football (Soccer) because I found myself interested in it, and for a short while, enjoying it.

My Dad has always been a lifelong fan of European Football and since he’s been home for a year because of a bad accident, he’s been watching a lot more of it. I work from home, so I couldn’t really escape it, and when I had the chance to sit down and watch it, I found I was using it as a way to bond with him to try and connect to him…my Mars being in Cancer- sign of home and family.

I watched a full season of Football this year watching Juventus, Inter-Milan, Liverpool, & Champions League, & Europa League the closest. I was specifically following all of the Croatian stars due to my heritage. I was even reading sports news, and even participated in some online forums for some football clubs. I surprised myself at just how dedicated I was to a sport that up until this year, I hated.

Last week I made the official decision to stop watching European football. It was during that week that I experienced my Mars Return- the time when transiting Mars meets up with your natal Mars. Since that happened, I lost all interest in it, and realized just how toxic football was for me.

Why I Quit Watching Football

1.  First of all, after I experienced my official Mars return last Saturday on June 8th, Croatia happened to play Wales for a Eurocup qualifying game, and Portugal won the League of Nations. I decided to go and comment on some Youtube videos that fans made analyzing the games. I found myself giving some very honest critiques only to have several people gang up on me and make sexist and degrading remarks about me and my thoughts. After that, I decided I had had enough, because this was an ongoing issue for me.

2.  What I came to learn about European Football is that it’s extremely racist. I could see that the Croatian players were always the most under-paid and over-worked players on their teams. People from other European countries were always making racist comments about Croatians and other nationalities. Football media was incredibly biased and playing favourites to certain countries and players. This really triggered me because I could not understand why Croatia was so hated? So what if they came second at the 2018 FIFA World Cup? They have always been a competitive team in Europe with very strong individual players with achievements (and all this considering they are a tiny country). I came to learn that Croatia has its natal Moon at 3 degrees Scorpio- the sign and degree of the Moon’s fall, so no matter what, they are always going to be un-liked. I still did not like the demeaning hate speech online so I decided to step away from Youtube and the forums. As I mentioned, my natal Mars is in Cancer, so I get very triggered when someone says something negative about my heritage.

3.  I also quit watching it because I found it to be very bi-polar. If a player had a good game he was a hero and if his next performance wasn’t that good he would be a zero. This idiotic behaviour from the fans was a huge turn off for me because no one is perfect and it made me wonder if these people treat their friends and family the same way? That you’re garbage unless you achieve something?

4.  I also stopped watching European football because I found it to be a very evil and corrupt business. Every player has a price tag and they are completely disposable. There is no loyalty, no trust, and no respect. At the same time, the players are multi-millionaires who for the most part are not charitable. I’m especially critical of players who come from small or poor countries who do not help out their country. They’re kicking a ball around and getting millions for it. It’s a bit excessive, don’t you think?

5.  The egos. The worship of players like Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi is absolutely sickening. So they kicked the ball in the net more than someone else. Why does that make them Gods? Have they cured a disease? Did they create world peace? Nope. I did notice that all of the most successful superstar players have wounded masculinity. Messi was under-developed as a boy and had to take human growth hormones, Ronaldo’s father was an alcoholic and died when he was a kid, Modric grew up extremely poor during the war in Croatia and his grandfather who helped raise him, was murdered in that same war. All these guys are trying to use the Martian activity of football to over-compensate for their complexes.

Mars Mission

So when my Mars came home I realized just how toxic and degrading this sport is, for everyone involved- the fans, the players, the management etc. An important lesson for me that I learned during my Mars activity was that knowing how to conserve my energy and where to direct it, is extremely important for my health due to some bad aspects from my Mars. Watching European football for 1 year allowed me to experience the depth of my Mars that I had previously not known. With my Mars being in Cancer, it’s a very internalized energy that doesn’t always have an outlet for its expression, which is why physical activity is recommended. I can’t say that I experienced any positive Martian activity this year, apart from becoming more assertive. Football helped me to see what my triggers are and what I need to avoid.

It showed me that ethnicity is mentality, projection comes from rejection, everyone has a price, masculine energy is self-destructive, and egos are wounds. Interestingly enough, all of these are markers of my natal Mars. All of the reasons that I listed for choosing to quit watching European football are things that my Mars is guilty of suppressing and expressing. Forming a close relationship to Mars this year helped me to make peace with his unpleasant qualities.

Have you experienced your Mars Return? What sorts of lessons did you learn?

My Culture is the Best: Cosmic Chit-Chat

Did the title of this blog trigger you a little? If it did, welcome to the North Node in Cancer! The North Node has been traveling through Cancer since November 2018 and you can read more about this transit here. In my blog about this astrological event, I predicted that there would be a greater emphasis on nationalism and ancestry as the nodal axis is currently placed in the areas dealing with culture and roots. Have you noticed all of the commercials and companies popping up for ancestral DNA analysis?(Let’s keep in mind that the SN is in Capricorn which rules the elitist governments and big business so they definitely have ulterior motives for the massive DNA collection they’re doing) Have you been researching your own family tree or connecting more with your culture? Have you seen more nationalism or racism? Your answer should be “yes” to all of these questions, because the intensity of the times we’re living in is being felt on the most minute levels.

Personal Story

For me personally, I started feeling the ancestral stuff last summer during the World Cup. Seeing my ancestral home win the silver medal brought up a lot of emotions for me. I have definitely been feeling the call to visit my family’s homeland and have immersed myself more into the culture. This has been a way for me to connect with my roots which has helped me understand myself a lot better. I have come to realize that characteristics that I thought were unique to me, are in fact, cultural. I have also taken off the rose coloured glasses and have seen and experienced the not so nice parts of my culture which hasn’t been easy. There is a darker aspect to this transit which people are avoiding, and it’s called “nationalism.”

For the past few weeks I have found myself watching expat videos on Youtube. I’ve been watching some channels about expats views on living in countries such as France, Croatia, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, and England. While I have found the videos to be very eye-opening, the commentary of the anonymous viewers in the comment sections has been a little disturbing.

I have repeatedly seen very prejudiced and racist comments, people boasting about how their country is “the best” and degrading demeaning pokes at the culture being discussed and cultures and countries not being discussed. I know this is typically more of a “European” thing as there is an extremely deep attachment to the protectionist ideology, however, there is something bigger going on here.

Distortion

The nodes of the Moon distort. They are actually invisible points. They are not specifically something we can observe through a telescope. They are the dragon’s head and dragon’s tail that have been severed, meaning neither one can properly function or survive without the other. Wherever the nodes are traveling, specifically the NN, we experience an illusory and distorted energy. Things are not what they appear to be. We are taking in all of these experiences but we aren’t digesting them because our body has been cut off. We usually don’t process our nodal experiences until they have changed signs. With the North Node in Cancer, people are holding very tightly onto their cultures and national identities to the point that they are suffocating themselves with rhetoric and belief systems that are currently being expelled by the South Node in Capricorn.

The South Node in Capricorn is destabilizing our lives in order to restructure them. When people are experiencing rapid change, they always grab onto security. Things that are unchanging and reliable. So there has been a rise of nationalism and culture chest pounding because people feel like they’re losing control.

The rise in racism is happening because people cannot tolerate or accept themselves in a rapidly changing world. Loyalty is fear disguised. They glamourize and egotize their cultures because the NN is not allowing them to “see” if for what it is. The North Node in Cancer is forcing us deeper into our culture/ancestry so we can free ourselves from their binding chains- South Node in Capricorn.

Culture Club

Sadly I’ve come to learn that culture is mentality. People from specific cultures all tend to think the same way unless they have done the inner work to empower themselves. The South Node in Capricorn is trying to rid our lives of these outdated ways of thinking and living via institutions, paradigms, lifestyles, business, laws etc. I would like to add mentality to this list as well because it is such a strong controlling force in our lives. The South Node was transiting Aquarius last year which was a precursor to this notion of saying goodbye to group think. The SN in Capricorn is now targeting the infrastructure of our lives. We need to start thinking for ourselves, and with the NN in Cancer, we need to connect with our cultures so we can let the SN in Capricorn digest it- to allow it to absorb the nutritional qualities and to expel the toxic elements. We can only empower ourselves when we are able to understand where we fit into the context of our culture. Are you a leader or a follower? Are you a wolf or a sheep? Your are not defined by your culture or your home country. You are where you heart is, so is home where the heart is? Or is it somewhere else? Go and find it. You most definitely will when the lunar axis shifts into Gemini/Sagittarius next year.

Have you experienced any of the things mentioned in this blog?

New Moon in Pisces March 6, 2019: Sea Salt

This New Moon in Pisces is going to evaporate its dreamy noxious moisture into tangible understanding.

The Aspects

Sun conjunct Neptune- ability to understand spiritual information and to integrate it

Sun sextile Mars- confidence to chase new dreams and inspirations

Sun sextile Saturn-persevering

Mars trine Saturn-strength

Mars sextile Neptune- making a difference

Saturn sextile Neptune- seeing the bigger picture

During the New Moon in Pisces Mercury will be retrograde also in Pisces and the Sun and Moon will be opposing Mercury’s exaltation point at 15 degrees Virgo. The biggest lesson of this lunation is that we must use our dreams to help heal others. Your dreams should be for a greater cause and purpose. If they are not, they will materialize into deceptive things.

This is the perfect shimmering moment to check in with your dreams and aspirations to see if they align with something bigger than yourself or to see if they are only for yourself. In order to properly utilize Piscean energy we must have empathy, compassion, service, and love.

Sea salt is salt that is produced by the evaporation of seawater, so will your Piscean waters produce something tangible and multipurpose, or will they merely evaporate into deeper illusions and fantasies?

Juno: Your Marriage Partner

The Asteroid Juno is the ninth largest asteroid. In Greek mythology she is the equivalent of goddess Hera. Incredibly important in both Greek and Roman culture she was hailed as Queen of the Gods. Wife of Zeus she is the goddess of marriages and unions. Embodying femininity, she watches over conception, pregnancy, birth and care- Starsignstyle

In Astrology Juno shows us the person we are going to marry- their personality, how we first meet them, even their physical appearance.

There are many factors to consider for marriage, for instance, Venus shows us what we most need and desire in our relationships, Mars for women shows us what we sexually and physically are attracted to, and the 7th house indicates the overall energy of the marriage. Juno on the other hand shows us who we actually get as a partner.

In modern times, marriage doesn’t have to mean a legally binding contract. In present times, marriage for this sake refers to any relationship that is more than 1 year long. Juno will show us the partner with whom we are in the longest most committed relationship with. If you are dating someone casually with no strings attached, you would look to the 5th house for details about the partner.

You can find your Juno placement by going to Astro.com and click the extended chart selection where you can input the # ‘3’ in the asteroid box at the bottom of the form.

The Almanack by Martine Bailey- REVIEW

The Almanack by Martine Bailey is an astrological murder mystery story set in 18th century England. It followed the mysteries surrounding an almanack whose sinister predictions came true and the scandalous village life that found itself at the mercy of this strange prophetic stellarium.

I thought this book was a breath of fresh air. As an Astrologer myself, I loved how an almanack was the main character, which is an obscure part of history that hasn’t found its way into many fictional stories. The mystery was intriguing and every character was suspicious which kept me on the edge of my seat. The characters were flawed and relatable and the cosmic tidbits woven throughout the story satisfied my Astrology background. I loved how each chapter began with a riddle, an astrological observation, and a prognostication which foreshadowed the events in the chapter. It was as though I was reading an actual almanack!

I whizzed right through this stellar murder mystery and can’t wait to read more from Martine Bailey! My prognostication is that readers who love classic whodunnits and those who have an appreciation for the occult, will absolutely adore this story.

Jupiter in Sagittarius Square Neptune in Pisces 2019

Jupiter in Sagittarius square Neptune in Pisces is the big aspect happening this weekend January 13, 2019. It will be occurring 2 more times this year. We can expect the truth being obscured by the iridescent waters of Neptune in Pisces. Things will be presented one way but will turn out to be very different. If it seems too good to be true, it probably is. This transit can make us idealistic falling into the ethereal trap that watery energies like to set up. Jupiter in Sagittarius is telling us we must modify our beliefs to align with our morals and values. The big test will be are you going to let fantasy and idealism carry you away even though you know it’s not going to end well? Or are you willing to stand up for your truth and walk away even if the siren song of Neptune in Pisces is intoxicating? Deception is seductive but we have the “God” planet Jupiter in the sign of Sagittarius which is all about taking the high road even if you don’t know the final outcome. You can keep your rose coloured glasses on, but be prepared, Jupiter will hold you accountable for your actions.

Tips

-Stay Grounded!

-Be self-disciplined

-Get clear on your values

-Identify your long term goals and make decisions accordingly

-Take time to think things through before jumping into anything

-Use the Sagittarian strengths of research and analysis to understand every angle before committing to something

2019- A Universal ‘3’ Year

2018 was an 11 universal year, a time when unseen parts of our consciousness were brought to the surface. A big lesson of the master number 11 year was about cultivating sacred reciprocity. This involved learning to have a relationship with the unseen and spiritual. We began to develop a profound understanding of our place in the world in order to better serve our purpose. If you would like to read more about the lessons of 2018, you can read my blog post here.

2019

2019 will a universal 3 year. This is the number of understanding. We will be called to dissect and analyze those unseen parts of our consciousness that were brought to the surface last year. We must imbue it with understanding in order to gain depth of perception. Most of us will not be aware of what our spiritual upgrades were in 2018, but this year we will be forced to clarify and uncover those lessons. In the Kabbalah, the number 3 represents the ‘unfolding of what was once hidden, but is now knowable.’ 2019 will be the year of truth.

Truth

The 3 vibration has to do with communication. One of the ways we can learn what the truth is, is by communicating. Sharing our thoughts and opinions and expressing our unique views will help us identify our truth. This doesn’t mean we have to yell them from the rooftop or blast them on social media. This is less about voicing them and more about how we express them through our actions. This is facilitated through having a strong core.

Solar Plexus

The focus will be on healing our Solar Plexus Chakra. This is the chakra found in the centre of our body and is all about developing core strength, personal power, and owning your truth. As I previously mentioned, 2018 was a year of waking up those dormant parts of ourselves that are imperative to our purpose. The Solar Plexus Chakra is ruled by the Sun, so we must bring to light the good, the bad, and the ugly. When our core is strong we are able to stay focused and confident as we confront the truth. The Solar Plexus is responsible for motivation and determination. As the number 3 completes the triality of the 1 and the 2, we must take action this year to bring our truth into form.

It’s a great year to do core exercises, clean up your diet, and also to be more discerning about what you read and say.

Working with yellow crystals is also advisable.

How To Know What Your Lessons Were in 2018?

2019 is our golden opportunity to make changes in our lives congruent with the newly self-discovered parts of ourselves from 2018.

The lessons of 2018 involved the following themes:

Compassion

Relationships

Surrender

Patience

Authenticity

Reflect on how these themes played out in your life and what your learned from them. 2019 is the year to manifest what your learned.

Tips on How to Work with The 3 Energy

-Take up a new creative hobby

-Learn new skills

-Read books you would never have read before

-Write down your craziest ideas

-Exercise- specifically core exercises. Pilates would be a great choice!

-Finish what you started

-Read before you hit “send”

-Be optimistic

-Own up to your feelings

-Speak to a therapist or counselor if you need help

There’s a beautiful quote by Shania Twain who is a Life Path #3. In this quote she is indirectly referring to the Solar Plexus Chakra. The 3 energy has played out very strongly in her life which is why she is familiar with its lessons surrounding courage, compassion, creativity, and willpower. This is also why she always shows off her core.

Jupiter will also be in the Fire sign of Sagittarius all year which is the transit of truth. The nodes of the Moon will be in Water and Earth signs along with the eclipses. These transits will have some of the strongest impacts on our lives this year, which means the trinity of Fire, Water, and Earth will be active.

All the best to you during this 3 universal year!

Winter Solstice- Birth

A seed or frequency is created at the Winter Solstice that is encoded with our blueprint for the coming year. At Imbolc- February 3rd, that seed becomes conceived and the gestation period begins at the Spring Equinox and that seed/frequency will be released at the Winter Solstice 9 months later.

The Winter Solstice occurs when the Sun enters 0 degrees Capricorn and is known as the exit door, while 0 degrees Cancer is known as the entrance door at the Summer Solstice. We are ready to give birth to our creation.

This creation will look like a spark and feel like self-awareness and rebirth. We spent 51 days from Samhain to the Solstice in our underworld, confronting our shadows. Now we must shine the light of the Sun on them and release them while the Sun is at his peak.

I would recommend thinking about your power word for 2019 and your resolutions. This is the official start of the New Year. This is your birth.

This year we have a Full Moon in Cancer the following night symbolizing this beautiful synchronistic birth.

Bright Solstice to all!

Tales from the ’11’: Part 2

As our 11 universal year comes to a close, I thought I would share some final thoughts on what this intense and liberating energy taught us. Part 1 of my 11 universal year analysis can be found here.

Confrontation

The 11 in numerology represents enlightenment, illumination, awakening, and authenticity. It is a master number because these are some of the hardest things to achieve.

This year saw us having to confront our authenticity. We were tested with lessons and hardships in order to get to the root/core of who we are.

Those who were born with an 11 lifepath, are the “late bloomers” of the world as they struggle with embracing their true selves. I’m an 11 life path myself, so the lessons around being true to who I am are a constant struggle for me.

2018 happened to be an 11/2 year, meaning the core frequency of the 2 was also at work. The two is the number of relationships, balance, and harmony. Even though it seemed like the focus was on us, part of confronting our authenticity involved healing those parts of ourselves in others.

Sacred Reciprocity

Relationships were emphasized this year- perhaps they under went serious evaluation, rebuilding, or strengthening. When we are able to heal our relationships, we heal those parts within ourselves that have been buried, neglected, wounded, or forgotten.

When we are able to confront who we are, we gain confidence and trust- two things the 11 struggles with. Confronting our authenticity creates sacred reciprocity- the ability to have a relationship with the unseen and spiritual. We develop a profound understanding of our place in the world which helps us better serve our purpose.

I noticed many people experienced tragedies and setbacks that forced them to deal with issues they were avoiding. When we experience big upsets, it’s always the last attempt from the universe to wake us up. It’s a beautiful act of awakening that is disguised as a horrible catastrophe.

Final Thoughts

Here are some things that the 11 universal year should have brought you:

-Shift in perspective

-Greater compassion

-Emotional detachment

– Self-sacrifice

-Patience

-Mirroring

-Healing

It’s amazing that when we experience just some of the above mentioned things, we unlock the power of who we are. It’s a special kind of magic that only appears when it’s time for us to upgrade to a more purposeful version of ourselves.

2019 will be a universal 3 year, a time for us to share our new selves no matter how much opposition we face internally or externally.

Tony Robbins a life path 11 has many quotes that symbolize the 11 energy, but here is one that I feel best sums up this year

Life is a gift, and it offers us the privilege, opportunity, and responsibility to give something back by becoming more.

See you in 2019!

Nodal Axis in Cancer Capricorn November 2018- 2020: Folk-Heart

The North Node will be moving into Cancer and the South Node Capricorn on November 6, 2018 until 2020. Overall this will be a softening compared to the fired up axis in Leo Aquarius.

The North Node in Cancer will be shifting the focus away from “this is who I am” to “this is how I feel.” The North Node in Leo was about deconditioning. It was a time when you took some risks and pursued things that would empower you. Maybe you took up a new hobby or started a new creative project? Or maybe you flaunted your true colours instead of worrying about what your family and friends would think? Now that you have upgraded to a newer version of yourself, it’s time to feel it out.

The NN in Cancer will be a time of nurturing your mind, body, and spirit. Do what will feed your soul. You now know what lights you up from the North Node in Leo. Now you have to Mother it.

The South Node in Capricorn will gift everyone with perseverance and focus. You will need to use those qualities to achieve comfort in your life. A SN in Capricorn can make it difficult to focus on things besides career and wealth, but this will be the transit where lifestyles will be restructured. Have you ever met someone who had a successful career and then unexpectedly quit and decided to buy a farm and spend the rest of their days tending to sheep? Chances are they were born with this axis. It’s going to be less about the rat race and more about enjoying life. Here are some questions to reflect on:

What will make you feel emotionally fufilled in your life?

How do I really feel about this?

Look back to the years 2000/2001 to see what was happening in your life then. The NN was in Cancer at that time so see what Cancerian themes were happening for you.

Folk-Heart

I predict there will be more nationalism and ancestral healing coming up. Cancer rules our family and homeland so I believe many people will be visiting their homelands and many immigrants might choose to go back home. The NN in Cancer will see many people reconnecting (Cancer) to their roots (Capricorn). You will feel yourself pulling away from the known structures in your life but you won’t necessarily know where you are going. Whenever you find yourself gravitating towards your culture, rest assured that this is your higher self’s way of saying “home is where the heart is.” Living a life of passion and intention begins at home, the place where you can be intimate with your feelings. For some that will mean traveling abroad and for others that will mean getting comfy on the couch. Now that the Leo/Aquarius nodal axis has shown you who you really are, now you have to find the right environment that will allow you to honour this new self-honesty.

The NN in Cancer is about finding your place in the world which is in the loving embrace of a person or through loving life. You must nurture your life as if it were a small child. Loving life is the only way you can feel fulfilled. Ironically, the way to a person’s heart is through their stomach.
