Full Moon in Libra April 19, 2019: Light Spectrum

The Full Moon in Libra is occurring at 29 degrees Libra which is an anaretic degree, so the push to harmonize and bring together seemingly separate things is at its strongest…not to mention this our second Full Moon in Libra in 2019. The Moon is about to enter the watery depths of zero degrees Scorpio- where the water is murky and black, where we will need to explore these new depths, where light can be located.

The 29th degree of the Moon speaks about an accumulation of energy, or we can say justice since the Moon is in Libra. But what is justice?

The Symbols

The Sabian Symbol for 29 Libra is: Libra 30: Three Mounds of Knowledge on a Philosopher’s Head

This is about getting out of our heads and seeing the bigger picture. It’s about seeing the truth of a situation and there is nothing more truthful than justice (Libra).

The Kozminsky Symbol for this FM is: 30º Libra: A boy moping over his book in a schoolroom.
Denotes one who will have to wake up else he will be elbowed out of everything by others more vigorous. He is possessed of good mental qualities, is well-mannered and good-natured, but he allows others to take advantage of him, and he will suffer from deceit and unfairness. It is a symbol of Sluggishness.

This symbol is also about taking a step back to blur your eyes so you can truly see what is in front of you. The sluggishness is about a softening of the gaze.

The Aspects

The only major aspect during this FM is the Moon opposition to Uranus. This means we will have a strong need to go it alone and in order for us to bring together the “three mounds of knowledge” – Heaven, Earth, & Man.

The dispositor of the FM is Venus at 28 degrees Pisces. The Sabian Symbol for her is:

Pisces 29: The Light Passing Through A Prism

This is about acknowledging the connection between all things. It’s about understanding the relationship (Libra) between the whole and the parts. It’s about seeing how everything is connected. Venus is just one degree past its exaltation point so it speaks about the light of the universe being found in our heart. We have to appreciate the beauty of inter-connectedness. When we are able to truly see the balance of life “as above so below, as without so within,” miracles happen.

There is a beautiful quote from the book/film ‘Winter’s Tale’ which evokes the energy of this lunation:

Justice can sleep for years and awaken when it is least expected. A miracle is nothing more than dormant justice from another time arriving to compensate those it has cruelly abandoned.”- Winter’s Tale, Mark Halprin

To Conclude…

The Full Moon in Libra is asking us to believe in ourselves and the luminous connections we radiate out of our heart. To believe in yourself is to believe in heaven, earth, and humanity. It’s about believing in love.

Take some time during this Full Moon to think about everything you are connected to. Start with a person who is close to you and map out every person that person knows. Try it with an object, or a place, or something close to your heart. You will see that those things that mean something to you are but beams of love who form connecting prisms of light with every other thing in this world. The scales of justice are a light spectrum, we can only see the entirety of light by coming to a balanced place within our hearts first.

Once again here is another quote from ‘Winter’s Tale.’

“All rivers run full to the sea; those who are apart are brought together; the lost ones are redeemed; the dead come back to life; the perfectly blue days that have begun and ended in golden dimness continue, immobile and accessible; and, when all is perceived in such a way as to obviate time, justice becomes apparent not as something that will be, but something that is.” – Winter’s Tale, Mark Halprin

New Moon in Aries April 5, 2019: Wildflowers

The New Moon in Aries after the Spring Equinox is the official start of the new year! The energies attached to this lunation will plant the seeds of what the next 12 months will be sprouting. This particular New Moon is asking us to put down our roots before we start forcing growth.

The Aspects

New Moon square Saturn, Pluto, South Node in Capricorn- is the garden we are trying to grow in fertile enough to support our growth?

New Moon trine Ceres- it’s time to start plucking out the weeds and clipping back the dead parts in order to stimulate new growth

Mercury conjunct Neptune in Pisces- visualize your blooms, but understand that blossoms have a short life span. The process of growing is more important than what is actually revealed.

The Kozminsky symbol for this New Moon is:

16º Aries: Wild flowers growing amidst the corn in a sunlit field.

Denotes a person of charm, a lover of freedom- mental and physical-of nature, and of simple loveliness whose works in life will be blessed with success, and whose individuality will make itself felt amongst men. It is a symbol of Abundance.

Aries energy is impulsive, pioneering, energetic, and fierce but the difficult aspect to the stellium in Capricorn is reminding us to direct our energies to sustaining our growth. This means we must be patient, resourceful, creative, and committed to our long term vision no matter how difficult things may get.

As the Kozminsky symbol says, we must look to wildflowers as inspiration. They grow where the conditions are right for them, not necessarily where they want to grow. Rather than forcing things to happen, let’s adapt to the conditions that arise because the winds of change are blowing from Capricorn, so let’s be open to and accepting of where our seeds germinate, because that’s the fertile ground where our visions and ideas will bloom.

Full Moon in Libra March 20/21, 2019: Cultivation Restoration

The Full Moon in Libra on March 20/21st is completing a 7 year cycle that began with a New Moon in Aries on March 22, 2012. The Full Moon lasts approximately 3 days, so while it is occurring on the Spring Equinox, it’s energies will be felt until the 22nd.

Flashback

The New Moon in Aries in 2012 was conjunct Uranus in Aries and Mercury was retrograde in Aries squaring Pluto in Capricorn, while Mars was retrograde in Virgo. These themes spoke about a major paradigm shift, a new consciousness emerging, and stepping into a new dimension of being. The Full Moon on the Spring Equinox will be opposing the New Moon in Aries of 2012 asking us to see if we have completed the cycle, to see if the transformation has occurred.

The ruler of the New Moon in Aries was Mars Retrograde in Virgo whose Kozminsky symbol was…

7º Virgo: A man in ceremonial robes, with a circlet about his brow, holding the emblem of life–the Crux ansata–in the air.
Denotes one who finds in the philosophies of the ancient masters the true knowledge of life, whose search for the truth is rewarded, and who, an consequence of his dread of doing wrong, has the power of drawing the greatness of right towards him. It is a symbol of Philosophy.

This symbol spoke about the search for truth and the healing that can happen when spiritual truths are realized.

If we look at the Kozminsky symbol for the ruler of this Full Moon (Venus in Aquarius) it says…

24º Aquarius: A woman neatly attired, with her hand on a tomb, looking sorrowfully on a flower-covered grave.
Denotes a refined person forced to meet sorrow face to face. According to the degree of experience to be learned, so will be the degree of sorrow to be endured. Passion is not apart from this degree, but passion leads to pain, whilst subjugation leads to mastery. It is a symbol of Tribute.

This symbol speaks about the sorrow and sadness we may feel looking back over the last 7 years. We may be feeling resentful or sad about our experiences or lack of progress. What we must remember is that every negative experience is recycled into an upgraded version of itself.

Full Moon in Libra Aspects

Moon quincunx Uranus- the only thing that’s constant is change

Mercury sextile Saturn-weighing the pros and cons

Venus square Mars- detachment vs. attachment

Venus sextile Jupiter-understanding the bigger picture

Mars trine Pluto- standing in the full power of your strengths

The aspects of this lunation are helping us to see the equality of gains and losses, strengths and weaknesses, pleasure and pain, profits and losses, victories and defeats. The last 7 years have allowed us to witness and experience the divine elimination process. What’s being removed from our lives is actually being replaced by the most beautiful expansive things. This is the lesson of Libra- to see the purpose of everything and to respect its place in your life no matter how uncomfortable it may make you feel.

Personal Note

This is a personal Full Moon for me as the New Moon in Aries in 2012 was exactly conjunct my own natal New Moon at 2 degrees Aries. 2012 was the most difficult year of my life. It was the year when I began my dark night of the soul and awakening. I had no sense of direction and purpose and I felt hopeless and lost. Leading up to this Full Moon I have come to understand that all of the struggles I have experienced in the last 7 years made me the person I am today and have led down the most beautifully lit golden path. I have a sense of purpose and direction that I would not have found if I hadn’t have traveled through the back roads. It’s when you take the roads less traveled that you end up in the most unexpected and perfect location.

Robert Wilkinson wrote a beautiful piece about the New Moon in Aries 2012 that explains the energy of the Spring Equinox:

“The next few weeks will continue to bring us rewards to the degree we’ve let go of obsolete things in our life, and we should continue to demonstrate deep compassion and/or understanding, allowing ourselves to be attracted to people and situations that show us our Spiritual group work. There are great rewards and protections to be found in getting clear about the garden we want to cultivate, letting go of old views and understandings, and seeing why we’re making decisions about the past we’re leaving behind…”

The past and present are converging during this auspicious lunation on the Spring Equinox. Let us cultivate the gift of restoration by seeing the gifts and lessons of both the past and present. It’s time to return to our natural landscape of truth.

New Moon in Pisces March 6, 2019: Sea Salt

This New Moon in Pisces is going to evaporate its dreamy noxious moisture into tangible understanding.

The Aspects

Sun conjunct Neptune- ability to understand spiritual information and to integrate it

Sun sextile Mars- confidence to chase new dreams and inspirations

Sun sextile Saturn-persevering

Mars trine Saturn-strength

Mars sextile Neptune- making a difference

Saturn sextile Neptune- seeing the bigger picture

During the New Moon in Pisces Mercury will be retrograde also in Pisces and the Sun and Moon will be opposing Mercury’s exaltation point at 15 degrees Virgo. The biggest lesson of this lunation is that we must use our dreams to help heal others. Your dreams should be for a greater cause and purpose. If they are not, they will materialize into deceptive things.

This is the perfect shimmering moment to check in with your dreams and aspirations to see if they align with something bigger than yourself or to see if they are only for yourself. In order to properly utilize Piscean energy we must have empathy, compassion, service, and love.

Sea salt is salt that is produced by the evaporation of seawater, so will your Piscean waters produce something tangible and multipurpose, or will they merely evaporate into deeper illusions and fantasies?

Full Moon in Virgo February 18, 2019: The Reaping

Moonbeams: Harvesting our karmic lessons, healing our wounds around self-acceptance, and moving forward.

The Full Moon in Virgo will be occuring at the cusp of 1 degree of Virgo. Whenever we have a transit in the first degree of a sign we experience powerful new karmic beginnings. While Full Moon’s are about completion, we must remember that the New Moon in Virgo we had in September had a heavy 9 energy to it…the number of karmic endings. So there seems to be a role reversal between these two lunations. This means that a karmic cycle is completing. What was going on in your life in September 2018? Let’s not forget that in that same month, Chiron went retrograde in Pisces, illuminating the Virgo- Pisces axis.

The Aspects

Moon trine Uranus- breaking free

Mars conjunct Uranus- unleashing the fires

Saturn sextile Neptune- patience, seeing something through

Mercury conjunct Neptune- fact vs. fiction

Venus conjunct Saturn- needing self-love

Virgo is the sign of purity and perfection and the aspects during this FM are cleansing our lives of self-restraint and martyrdom. The day before this FM, Chiron re-entered Aries after being retrograde in Pisces since September. Chiron RX in Pisces was about helping us understand that we cannot wait in the water because life will just pass us by. Self- sacrifice is fine as long as you are whole to begin with. The healing waters of Chiron and Pisces have now been replaced by the purifying fires of Aries. You can read more about this transit here. Also on the day before the FM the Sun entered Pisces, helping us to detach for perspective and Venus conjunct Saturn. This conjunction is about giving up self-crticism in favour of self-trust. So you can see that leading up to the FM we had some cleansing already beginning.

The Reaping

1º Virgo: A traveling pilgrim leaning on his staff, which he holds in his left hand, addressing a small band of men & women.
Denotes one whose early life is threatened by the elements and who will be compelled to endure sufferings, hardships, and trials as an atonement for remote past acts. If his destiny is to live, his destiny is to overcome, and he will be a wise instructor and guide to his fellow-men. It is a symbol of Repaying.

If we look at the Kozminsky symbol for this FM it’s symbol is atonement. This is about paying off karmic debts and finally soothing the past and any regrets or failures we may experienced. I’m expecting many people to make great progress in the Pisces\Virgo ruled areas of their lives during the two weeks the FM is active. If you have been feeling stuck in this axis, prepare to say goodbye to its stagnation.

Virgo rules the harvest because it’s time to reap what we have sown.

I’d also like to mention that the Full Moon is conjunct the royal star Regulus. In many occult rituals the crowning occurs after self-sacrifice has occurred. Expect to wear a crown after all the martyrdom you’ve experienced with Chiron retrograde in Pisces. If you’d like to learn more about this ritual, I’d recommend you watch the horror film ‘Hereditary’ on Netflix which is all about the dark side of the Virgo/Pisces axis.

New Moon in Aquarius February 4, 2019: Storms

I try to make my lunarscopes as positive as I can but this New Moon has an insidious energy to it. Other Astrologers are proclaiming this to be one of the best new moons of 2019 but I can’t ignore my intuition which is telling me something else.

We must always remember that a New Moon is a black moon- she’s invisible and thus our mind, feelings, and subconscious are susceptible to this darkening as well.

Aquarius energy is detached and naive but when channeled properly is engaged with its emotions. I have found Aquarian new moons to be of a trickster energy, the wolf in sheep’s clothing, a fake smile, and weak handshake etc….It’s about wanting something but purposely making it unachievable. In order to remedy these negative influences, we must not be afraid to look past our murky thoughts in order to arrive at the understanding of these emotional constraints.

The Aspects

New Moon conjunct Mercury- dark thoughts

New Moon sextile Jupiter- misrepresentation

Mercury sextile Jupiter- moonlight reflecting off of water

Saturn sextile Neptune- grounding deception

A black Aquarian moon will increase maliciousness and intentional deception. Occurring at 15 degrees Aquarius- it is an Imbolc new moon, a time when nature’s detox begins after a long winters nap. This degree marks the point where the water cascades out of the water bearers vase. With the sextiles to Jupiter and Neptune, the water is purifying so long as we are ready for it to remove our toxins.

16º Aquarius: A ship running before the wind with bare poles. The sea, black and angry, is illumined by a ray of moonlight which shines through a break in the heavy clouds.

Denotes one of a trusting spiritual nature who will have trials in life threatening and bitter, and who will often be storm-driven and held in the grip of hard circumstances. Now and then there are breaks in the storms of life which bring relief, no matter how small. But he must go on; his way is difficult and the night is dark, but in the morning light will come. It is a symbol of Experience.

So why all the negativity? The stormy essence during this NM represents an internal churning, a conflict between our need for progress and our fear of failing. It is these two opposing forces that causes us to be vulnerable to deception and manipulation. This is a message from above that we must start facing reality because even the most treacherous storms have an eye that acts as a way out of rational programming. The deeper you push yourself into the Aquarian fear of emotionality, the faster the storm will pass.

We cannot trust our thoughts or information during this NM, but everything changes when we come to understand that we are the storm that has come to clear our path. 😉

Lunar Eclipse January 21, 2019: Courage

Date: Monday, January  21, 2019

Times:

  • Los Angeles – January 20, 9:16 pm
  • New York – January 21, 12:16 am
  • London – January 21, 5:16 am
  • Delhi – January 21, 10:46 am
  • Sydney – January 21, 4:16 pm

Moonbeams: Hold your head up high, adjust your crown, and lead your life with dignity and courage.

The Lunar Eclipse on January 21, 2019 is not only a Full Moon, but a super moon and bloodmoon unleashing a series of fireworks to mark the grand finale of the eclipses in Leo we have had since 2017. This eclipse will be happening at 0 degrees Leo, adding a royal flair to this lunation. There is an opportunity for regality being offered to us which will ask the question “is the stability of the norm more important than the freedom of courage?”

This particular eclipse will also be a blood moon due to the reddish tinge that will cover the moon as its passing behind Earth’s shadow. Blood Moons have a long history with being connected to important biblical and world events, and I would recommend googling this for further information.I think of Blood Moons as frequencies that change the DNA of our karmic experiences. They are sort of like flabotumists who extract some of our blood for analysis. The Blood Moon is a way to deliver some brand new experiences on our karmic journeys that have waited for a specific divine time to do so. The Blood Moon is now the time to welcome in the new. A new blood supply is coming. Our results from our blood test from the past 1.5 years, have finally come in.

The Aspects

Moon square Uranus- impatient and impulsive

Mercury square Uranus- unexpected information

Sun sextile Ceres- planting new seeds

Moon trine Ceres- upholding tradition

Pull Your Crown Up Over Your Eyes

The eclipse will be quite Uranian in nature which the fixed energy of Leo does not enjoy. There is a disruptive energy present at this time which is forcing us to confront our emotional limitations. This is what every full moon asks of us, but there are heavier long term implications with an eclipse. Leo is a regal sign that must learn the lessons of courage. With all of the unsettling Uranian influences, we are being pushed out of our royal carriages in order to see the real world. The Kozminsky symbol speaks to this:

1º Leo: A king stepping from his carriage receiving a document from a group of citizens.
Denotes one who will be enabled to grant or to refuse to grant the wishes of others. He will reach a position of importance and will receive many honors, and benefits will accrue to him. The demand is for an understanding of the use, not the abuse, of power. It is a symbol of Authority.

As I mentioned in the beginnning of this report the question is

“is the stability of the norm more important than the freedom of courage?”

Eclipses push us into new experiences that are meant to accelerate our growth. As the final Leo eclipse, we must be courageous in the area of our lives that is ruled by Leo. Royals have a very delicate balance to maintain. They must uphold the stability of the crown while continuing to evolve and appeal to the modern times they find themselves in. We must do the same.

Grand Finale

So the bloodmoon lunar eclipse is going to make the King have blood on his hands- but will it be because he has ignored the need to modernize or will it be because he has taken the risk to involve himself in the outer world? Leo energy always helps to remind us of who we are. Step into your power and sit on the throne that is your heart. When we allow courage to be our driving force, passion is what rules our kingdom.

New Moon Solar Eclipse January 5, 2019- A Grotto

A solar eclipse is just like a regular new moon where the Moon passes between Earth and the Sun. However, a solar eclipse is more powerful because the Moon darkens the Sun.

Eclipses are portals that bring in a rush of karmic energy. If you’re of an ancient Astrology school of thought, then Eclipses will be considered dangerous times when people should be fasting and staying indoors. These superstitions are ways to force us to quietly meditate and reflect during these high energy times.

The New Moon Solar Eclipse will be shaking up relationships with our career, reputation, status, traditions, authority, our material life, and our Father and or older men in our personal life. This is so we can relate to them with more humility, patience, understanding, tolerance, and love.

The Aspects

Solar Eclipse conjunct Saturn- Releasing outdated three-dimensional ways of looking at the Saturnian things in our lives. Things are more than brick and mortar. People are more than skin and bones. Traditions are more than right and wrong.

Solar Eclipse sextile Neptune- Artistic and spiritual understanding.

Mercury entering Capricorn- Blunt and harsh truths being revealed.

January 6- Uranus stationing direct 28 degrees Aries- Progress

The Solar Eclipse will be releasing out dated perceptions of the power structures in our life. Saturn rules the men in our life- specifically our Father, Grandfather, etc so expect some reconciliations with those figures. The Eclipse sextiling Neptune will allow us to see these structures from a deep spiritual place. Mercury entering Capricorn on the same day is also helping us to perceive the structures we have built in our life and what needs to be tweaked and refined. Uranus stationing direct the day after the Eclipse is casting off the shackles of yesteryear ready to assist is with this restructuring.

The Kozminsky Symbol for the Eclipse is:

16º Capricorn: A number of books floating near a coast land rich in vegetation and floral charm, with beautiful grottos rising from the blue sea.
Denotes one, artistic and nature-loving, who has a rapturous appreciation for the grandeur of creation and endeavors by some media-art, letters, or song-to express it. He has a strong affinity with nature, and her many moods will act and react on his sensitive soul. It is a symbol of Expression.

The Eclipse at 15 degrees Capricorn is happening at the most dense degree of the most dense sign in the Zodiac. Here it’s as though the Capricorn ruled house in your chart is under a pressure cooker. Whenever something is released, we can say that a healing process has begun. This is Capricorn. A harsh material lesson learned, in order to rebuild spiritually.

The Solar Eclipse is a South-Node eclipse meaning there will be things leaving our lives. A Saturnian Eclipse always brings with it a heavy energy that forces us to confront our fears. You can either look at the Saturnian things in your life as burdensome mountains, or you can view them as beautiful grottos, richly vegetated with species you have never seen before. This vegetation is love, in all its varying forms. The opposing sign to Capricorn is Cancer- the sign of selflessness. When we are able to transmute our triumph of our material structures into love, we can accept the beauty and grandeur of creation. Capricorn eventually learns that life isn’t all about money, fame, and stability. It’s about what we choose to do with those things that matters.

Our Heart field is the densest Chakra, meaning when we must learn to master its harsh lessons before we can appreciate its meaningful gifts. This is the lesson of Capricorn- we must slowly trek up the mountain, confronting obstacles and challenges along the way before we can enjoy its majestic view.

Don’t be afraid of the restructuring that will take place over the next 3 months from this Solar Eclipse. What seemed like a long trek up a mountain will actually have been the emergence of grottos- new dimensions of love and understanding rising from your sea of emotions.

Full Moon in Cancer December 22, 2018: Lunar Love

The final Full Moon of 2018 is in her own domain of Cancer. There are only a couple of aspects which are beautiful and inspiring. This FM is happening only a few hours after the Winter Solstice which is emitting a lunar glow to bathe the strong solar energy of the solstice. It is a doorway that we are stepping through and closing off behind us.

The Aspects

Moon sextile Uranus- new ideas and changes in your personal life

Venus trine Neptune- deeper connections and understanding

The final FM of the year carries the main lessons of the year. Her aspects show us that we all experienced great changes in our personal lives, in order for us to look at things in new ways. This FM is at 0 degrees Cancer suggesting we can also treat her as a NM. What can we expect in 2019? Let’s look at the Kozminsky symbol…

1º Cancer: A curious ring set with a large heart of white onyx.
Denotes one of occult learning and of an extremely sensitive and sympathetic nature who will do much for the pleasure and help of the people. He is gifted with a peculiar power, which produces a feeling of calmness and serenity. He may not be free from his own worries, but the power to cast away such poison is his, and he will find that the rays of good he throws out for others will react with added force on himself. It is a symbol of Compassion

This symbol speaks to the Venus trine Neptune aspect. The lesson we must carry with us into 2019 is that of compassion. The 11 universal year of 2018 was a year of growing pains. 2019 will be a universal 3 year, a time when we must alchemize our pain into wisdom to help heal others.

Take some time during this FM and ponder these questions:

What if the pain I experienced this year wasn’t pain but power? What did I do with this power? What can I still do with my power?

Glowing Moon to all!

New Moon in Sagittarius December 7, 2018: Shoot that Poison Arrow

The New Moon in Sagittarius is occurring at 15 degrees Sagittarius which has the potential to reaffirm our faith in the midst of swirling chaos. We are only limited by our beliefs, and this NM can either poison you via your own limiting perceptions or it can push you onto a new journey of self-discovery.

The Aspects

Mars conjunct Neptune in Pisces- tainted love

New Moon square Mars- impatience

New Moon square Neptune- confused

Jupiter square Mars & Neptune- questioning your beliefs

The New Moon in Sagittarius is contains a poisoned bow and arrow. It’s poisoned with fear, restlessness, aggression, impatience, insecurity, and deception. At this time it can feel like we need to shoot, but we don’t know where to aim. We have to trust that everything will be OK, but that darn Sag energy is making us clamour for a new journey. It’s during intense times like this that we have to put down our bow and arrow and let the universe decide our best course of action.

The Kozminsky Symbol for the New Moon is:

16º Sagittarius: A woman outside an old ruin under a starlit sky, a white angel on her right, a dark angel on her left. The stars — the lamps outside the palaces of the Holy Ones — are shining.
Denotes one of intense mind capable of great acts. Very mediumistic, he is greatly influenced by his impressions and impulses. His path throughout his life is full of varied dangers, and he must be careful lest he miss the way. Let him often look up to the stars and pray for the guidance of the Good. It is a symbol of Restraint.

This symbol shows the starlight that this NM is offering us. The Mars Neptune conjunction is ideal for channeling and spotting the universe at work in your life. The NM squaring this conjunction can make us overlook these messages. The ruler of this NM is Jupiter in Sagittarius who is helping us see the restraints of our beliefs. The mid-point of a fire sign is the perfect time to burn away the old perceptions you have of yourself. Release them so you can lighten the load for your new journey.

Sagittarius reminds us to never lose hope because just when we’re about to give up, the arrow is released. Trust is the antidote for your poisoned beliefs during this New Moon.
