Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children

Today I saw Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children after waiting months to see it. I am a fan of the book series, so I was pleasantly satisfied with the adaptation. Eva Green was eccentrically mesmerizing as usual, and the overall aesthetic of the film was true to the essence of the book, quirky, whimsical, all with Tim Burton’s classic baroque flair.

This film was essentially a letter to all people who have ever felt different, weird, or misunderstood. It’s a reminder to everyone, that being unique is extraordinary, and a gift to humanity. Love yourself, and know that when you feel like no one could possibly understand you, remember, somewhere else in the world, someone is thinking the exact same thing.
